There were a lot of complaints with the 2008 models. mainly with handling and transmission problems. car and driver tested one on a long term road trip and had to have the transmission and clutch changed out after 16,000 miles. you can get a much more improved performance 2009 wrx for the same price as a 2008 wrx/sti. and their speeds are almost identical.
They have a sedan version, but it's just a little too much car for me. if i had to choose i'd get either the 09 wrx, or an 06 sti. what ever you do make sure you stay away from the ticking time bomb 07 sti

unfortunately that car is parked in the garage with a cracked radiator and until i've got the money to get a new one, that's where it's going to sit for a while
it was so freaking loud with the 4X10 and the M-6 head that the club sound guy couldn't even run me through the PA. i love being able to play a venue with just my rig and no PA ...of course, it means the sound guy can't mix as well and the sound suffers at times. oh well.
if this is the 2x15" road ready cabinet, then this, sir, is THE BEST cabinet i EVER used!!! i had this and a mesa 400+ top as backline on a tour we did and it was FANTASTIC!!!! before that i never even considered that a 2x15 would be enough without a 2x10" or 4x10" but this THING left me speechless (and deaf :biggrin
it's just too big and too heavy for the odd weekend gig i do now....
now i have a SWR SM 400 (from 1991) and a TECH 4x12" (carbon speakers) which together weigh maybe 60 kg and fit in the boot of my VW Passat 2.0 TDI (including my pre-Earnie Ball '79 Musicman Stingray) without tilting the backseats.
