What the hell are you gonna put up front? A MTN-10?sikocycles said:nice to know. Just need the word from Doc when he is taking orders
i'd see it as more of a big-hit play bike - ie, a modern version of the tmx.Horrendous Hack said:What the hell are you gonna put up front? A MTN-10?
What can the Hitman be considered as? A pure DH machine?
me to. i think im running a fox or boxxer too next year or maybe late this year if i find a deal.sikocycles said:No I would put my DHF8 on it. And put a fox or a boxxer on the RL.
The hitman is a replacement for the TMX/biglink. Same travel as the Biglink and a inch more than the RL.

No but I just thought it might feel a bit unusual.seismic said:As it is obvious from other DH frames it is not necessary to have the same amount of travel in front and rear.....
Exactly. I run a steel hardtail with a 6" fork :dancing:seismic said:As it is obvious from other DH frames it is not necessary to have the same amount of travel in front and rear.....

i think that rings true for all of usseismic said:Fair enough......but since a MTN-10 is a quite heavy fork he might want to go for something lighter.......(not to say that I wouldnt go for a MTN-10 if I had the chance  )
My park is just around 46 lbs. And I ride her XC. BEEF CAAAKE!Horrendous Hack said:i think that rings true for all of us
Thing is, I think forks from Marzocchi, Manitou and the like all look too small for the big bikes, its like they need an Avalance on the front.
Who needs lightness anyway? My HT weighs over 40lbs. lol.
Of course it needs an Avy...we all do...more than one  ....that is what I am trying to tell people all the time...may it be a shock or a fork dosent matter....it is simply the best..... :love:Horrendous Hack said:i think that rings true for all of us
