No people should get rid of Avys, and replace them with more Avy!

Hmmmmm yeah...it looks like it ! Well, - anyway.....no reason to get rid of your Avy since you will not find anything better :)

Ok, but only if you promise to transfer a trillion foffilian dollar to me by western union, then i'l buy the bike and send you back the change. Somewhere in all this it will involve a curiour and a rubber-like cheque. Oh and me with a mini-link. :)

Hi guys -
Who has the lightest RaceLink built? I'm curious how anorexic a BMW can get.

(I'm not trolling here - serious question.)

thx!

I think it is possible to get a 42+ pound RL. Mine is 46.5 with a dual damper Avy. swap that fork for a WC or 40 and you are at 43.5. Add a Ti avy spring, Ti spindle, normal crank arms (not the SS), true UST wheelset, integrated stem.

it is possible and not what i would call underbuilt either. not bad for a steel frame, 9" monster that will be as strong as new 5+ years from now.

Those are some sexy bikes. Hitting the jump for the first time over cleared to be on the safe side, didnt realize by that much tho.

my gosh, the take-off doesnt even fit into the picture. you must have been haulin' arse! nice shot. it's nice to have a bike that wont punish you for deeds like that.

is that the new samsonite luggage-lite camelback ? does it have a telescoping handle and wheels? lol

Mine with 888s was bloody light. And could be made much lighter. Took it to an uplift day at abercarn, where it got passed around a fair few riders (about 20 by the time i left). Managed to dispell the myth brooklyns weigh a ton to 20 people! :D All i heard was "Eh up, that's light...". Got mojo shivers now, but i've got some other bits n bobs i wish to do to it. I got bored with trying to make it light and got components that actually work instead.

Well, I finally got my new racelink. Old one was #43. This one is #81 front and #90 rear.

http://nick.macnn.com/IMG_1957.JPG

Going 2.5 on the front tire and ti spindle to drop some more weight. Right now about 48.5lbs without the rear brake. May go for a lighter bar/stem combo?

Does anyone know if you can put a star nut in a DHF? This Azonic headlock is heavy!
