In a van.... down by the river
Not even close. The soles are falling off, I've replaced the buckle probably 6 times. I ride went/dry, hose them off, etc. I'd guesstimate they have near 90k on them. 100 miles/week 98-99, 200 miles/week 99-04, 100 miles/week 04-06.

Wore the holy piss out of them. And I complained when I spent $250 in my new pair. ha.
I think the old ones were made better. I'm currently on my original Dom 2s from 1997. Granted they started to get used somewhat less frequently around 2002... but they've been great shoes.

Blue- you fail as a hipster. if a real hipster had $300 he buy cases of cheap beer, coke, deep V's, & a few stupidly ironic outfits from goodwill.

Did you read his post? He didn't have $300, he got them as a warranty replacement.

You are absolutely correct that that sort of money should have been spent on Tecate and girl jeans though.

The trick is to get a pair that was made in Italy, not the ones made in Romania.
I still have my old, old, old Dominator 4s, which have been beat up from the feet up, still going strong though...
