It's 40F? I just stepped outside and with the wind it feels like total horse shit outside. If I can sneak out, I'm hoping there is some trail beer left and to continue swinging the ax at shit until we a) have moar trail and b) I'm no longer cold.debating riding in this 40f weather![]()
Make up a few signs that say, "I know who you are and if you keep pissing all over hell's half acre there will be consequences."Oh shit.
I've been working at this building for two and a half years now and I think that I have FINALLY figured out who has been pissing on the toilet seat and on the floor around said toilet. How the hell do you address this, HR?
Just in case you don't see them up there ...Bad news pilgrims. Thule roof rack bits not compatible with new Subaru. Not happy but at least there is rack attack.com ready to take my money.![]()
I will give them a look, I have heard they have a hitch mount system that is more secure than a Thule. Going to join this century but need to put a hitch on the Subaru first.Just in case you don't see them up there ...

I know a guy over there, they make nice stuff.
you got an outback right? yea, forget the roof rack and get a hitchI will give them a look, I have heard they have a hitch mount system that is more secure than a Thule. Going to join this century but need to put a hitch on the Subaru first.

forget the roof rack and get a hitch
Yes, I got a red one, different rack arms than the blues ones, apparently.you got an outback right? yea, forget the roof rack and get a hitch
I've never killed a bike on the roof but have always been paranoid someone would rear end me or try to steal it, I always figured thieves were stooopid and too lazy to wrestle one off the roof.
Roof racks are where bicycles go to die early.![]()
The price is right but they do not appear to offer a swing away which is important for a hatchback.1up racks. /game
1up swings back/down. U-Haul hitch is fine. The price is right but they do not appear to offer a swing away which is important for a hatchback.
Anyone know a reason NOT to have U-Haul install a hitch? I see them everywhere.
U-Haul should have no issue installing a hitch on your ride since it is a common ride and doesn't need any magic to make work. They also make a nice line of solid hitches, so it is a bonus.Anyone know a reason NOT to have U-Haul install a hitch? I see them everywhere.
I would advise against this plan (personal experience).Or you could order a Curt from Amazon and put it on in your own driveway. It's just a few bolts +/- cutting some plastic underbody trays on some vehicles.
I did this on my suby, it was a 1.5 beer project, aka 90 mins, but that included wiring harness.Or you could order a Curt from Amazon and put it on in your own driveway. It's just a few bolts +/- cutting some plastic underbody trays on some vehicles.
The one time I had U-Haul install a hitch, the installation was incompetent. The price is right but they do not appear to offer a swing away which is important for a hatchback.

Not cool if there are bikes on it.1up swings back/down. U-Haul hitch is fine.
Driving 6 blocks is more my style, should be less than $200 installed.Or you could order a Curt from Amazon and put it on in your own driveway. It's just a few bolts +/- cutting some plastic underbody trays on some vehicles.
The 2017 model I bought has crossbars already. Truth is all I really need is 2 adapters as nothing has changed in the 10 years I've had the system... it's just a little too oxidized to be matchy matchy with the glossy new paint. If you know any body that has a use for it, it is up for grabs, complete with 6 matched locks. Someone could spend a weekend with it and it should last another 10 years.I did this on my suby, it was a 1.5 beer project, aka 90 mins, but that included wiring harness.
You basically just drop the exhaust (via 5? Bolts) put the hitch on and rebolt.
I prefer hidden hitch hitches, as the don't protrude past bumper when the rack/ball isn't on..
I suspect you should be able to get the "correct" crossbar adapters to retrofit you old roof rack via the Google for far less $$, but that doesn't factor in the cost of replacement milk crate![]()
The lemons? You kinky Czech bastid.I would advise against this plan (personal experience).
When life gives you lemons, fcuk it in the arse.
why not? It works super well. with our without bikes on it.Not cool if there are bikes on it.
With bikes on you still have to access from the side, I like the idea of a swing away rack that does not impede access for loading or unloading larger heavy items like fully loaded beer coolers.why not? It works super well. with our without bikes on it.

If you don't find any takers I'd be interested... Sometimes I'd like to have a 2nd bike rack, especially when using hitch for utility trailer or when monkeys invade SW MontanaThe 2017 model I bought has crossbars already.
