Heading out for mud early snow season to LV/LA/Big Sur/SF next week, and thinking about bringing the mtb for an overnight near St. George.

I've heard / seen good trip reports of Hurricane Cliffs and Gooseberry Mesa, but I've never ridden in that area and there's too many trails / routes to choose from.

Any favorites would be helpful, as I probably have time for two 2-3 hour rides Wed/Thur next week.

I didn't particularly like the stuff at Gooseberry, myself, but I did enjoy Wire Mesa and the stuff on Grafton Mesa.

If there's moisture down there, do not attempt to get to Gooseberry (or many of the rides tbh)

Despite SS being against it, I like Gooseberry, Wire Mesa and The Whole Guacamole.

If Hurricane cliffs is Hurricane Rim, I don't recall being bothered by that big loop.

I enjoyed the Whole Guacamole, but definitely wasn't enamored with it.

The big loop we did at Gooseberry reminded me of EKG in Klondike. Fuckin' hate that trail. :D

Gooseberry is fun and unique. More of a folow the dot slow speed affair.
A bit of same on Guacamole, but a bit more flow. You can improvise on a lot of the rock formations.
Wire Mesa is just pedal pedal pedal. Quite boring.

My favorite is definitely the entire Little Creek Mesa (mountain) loop.

I think Little Creek Mesa is where my pedal fell apart 4 miles from the car and it was 100F out as I had to mostly walk my way back. So tough to have a good memory of that one :D

I'm sitting here in an open cubicle area.

My boss is two seats down the row.
My boss' boss is across from me.

Boss' boss just got up to go tell my boss, to ask me to do something or get some report (I can hear them talking).

I have no idea where I am
Went to the DMV to renew my license. Took my legally blind father so he could renew his ID card as well. Stood in line for 15-20 minutes at the sign that says please wait here before someone came out and mumbled something about signing in and instructions outside. The only sign was a code to scan with my phone which did nothing. Gave up and went home. Tried to order one online but discovered that I will need a REAL ID if I want to fly next summer. However you cannot apply first time for a REAL ID online and must visit the office in person. And I will need a few different forms of identification that are of course not going to be easily located. Was able to renew my father’s ID card, or at least I think I did. Have not received a confirmation email yet. Great way to kill three hours though.

It seems to me that Quesabirria has been getting super popular all over the Americas, has it always been popular in MX?
Because I can’t recall really ever seeing it until a few years ago.
Yeah it's been a while here in MX that quesabirrias have been popular, birria has always been.
I only like quesabirrias and birria in consome, has to be made from beef, I hate sheep birria.
