Someone from one of our plants in NC was helping me with something and then suddenly disappeared. Heard from someone else that they lost power. Friderp.

eeesh. this is where we’ve been going to the beach for 25 years...50+ inches of rain plus storm surge...wonder how the ol’ round house fared?

still just breezy and occasional sprinkles here...

in a single wide, cooking meth...
Just got done with a 14 hr shift at the Emergency Ops Center, now on beer number deux. Nothing too bad in my part of the Cack (1.5" so far), but steady rain now. Parts of the coast have basically ceased to exist, but I suppose that's always a possibility when you build stuff next to flood prone rivers and glorified sandbars.

Ok , onto beer number 3.

Got our jump line covered with mold infested gnarpets, so hopefully they will get thru this ok, but I suspect there'll be limbs and huorns down on the trails, so chainsaws, bourbon and flip flops are on deck.

And this is awesome

drinking since noon. rain tapering off. water still rising, slowly. we back up to a giant swamp and a major creek. our back yard is probably 8’ above the top of the creek...we’ve got 6’ in it right now. still have power.
