Since I have no car I will take a bus to the visit the family. Wife and kids left today so I get to just take a nice relaxing trip myself on Friday.

...A Pug that eats a bagful of mushrooms and pot brownies will act pretty weird for a few days
i have a couple of Jack-Chi's that chewed their way into a tupperware container full of shrooms once. came home to find mushrooms all over the house and my dogs wandering circles, tripping the fuck out with little pieces still all over their noses and in their teeth. no idea how long it had been, but they stayed that way for about 4 more hours, poor guys...

It is one of those horrible but hilarious situations.

I am 99% sure I have some happy mushrooms growing under my deck. Some critter took a fair bite out of one of them. Kept my eye out for a squirrel or crow tripping balls but saw nothing.

Living in Tahoe, working in a casino, and it's the holidays....... I'll be working, trying to please some fool that didn't want a card, or the dealer missed a hit, or heck, just some drunk that thinks he/she is all that and a bag of used grips.

Yep, it'll be fun..........

That had been my plan too. And I was looking forward to three days alone at home while my wife stayed at her parents with the kids.

But her breaking her leg put an end to that. Now I'll be chauffeuring her and the kids around. Just got to my inlaws a couple of hours ago. The two hour drive took almost 4 today because of a snow storm. Saw three cars wind up in the ditch in front of me. Quite a few others fishtailing. I can't believe how idiotic some people are in these conditions...

But, I'm safe at my destination, have been fed, had a beer, about to have a whiskey and put the kids to bed.

 everyone, and have a safe and happy Christmas (or holiday if you don't celebrate)

Been in Seattle at MIL’s old house since Sunday. I fly out Monday night. I’m ready to be back in my own bed. Wife and kids have a week more yet before they follow me back home, during which time I get to work and perhaps ski a day.

Moar of the same as Christmas. Skiing, then off to the in-laws. If my bike shop can throw some seals in my fork by COB, I will try and put it all together by COB tomorrow.

for kingdom? bring your riding legs. i have some friends that are sorta local (a little over an hour away) if you have any specific questions
Tips on what to ride, what not to ride, good loops etc. We probably are only spending 2 days there. Trail map looks like a clusterfuck.

Camp at Burke?

Camp at Burke, the shelters are nice if they still have space.
In the area where you buy your pass they'll give you loop recommendations if you tell them how far/long you want to ride. Vaguely recall Moose Alley (name had Moose in it) being a fun trail, but it's 5 or so years since I was there.

Um, when in August?

You can easily string out a thirty or forty mile day at KT...
The trip is August 11-21st, so probably 18-20ish.

The old retired man of our group is the one who had his Pivot stolen, so we're trying to find him a ride until his new bike shows up. Would be such a bummer if he didn't come.
