Whichever gets here first. I think it's the On One oddly enough. If they all showed up at once it would either be the Bianchi or the Flow Street.

Just when my new 7Point is almost done (waiting on goodridge lines) I went absolutely stupid ordering bikes. A few weeks ago I had ordered a fit flow street bmx and eastern nighttrain 26" but I ended up canceling those to do some more shopping. Well last night I jumped off the cliff. I ordered an 08' Sunday World Cup, a Yeti 575 Enduro, an Eastern Nightrain, a Bianchi Oetzi 9300 Carbon, an On One Inbred, a Fit Flow Street, and a Fit Flow Trail. I almost ordered a Transition Double and still might. On top of that I ordered all the upgrades, spare parts, tools, and pimpin extras your can imagine. Got some movies to boot. Will post pics as they arrive.
hey, i used to do the same when i was like 18-20......
then a dr said i get manic highs. lithium is waaaaay cheaper.

NORCAL is the hizzle
But have a blast trying to actually ride all those bikes enough to justify owning them.
This is getting weird. Why does he have to justify owning them? Why do they have to be a good investment (as someone else asked)?

He is kinda flaunting it, which is annoying. Most of the people I know with real money are way more discreet.

When I was living in los angeles I had a friend who would periodically get overwhelmed by the crazy housing costs and would say stuff like "you know how rich I would be in Arkansas?" or "I bet I could afford a mansion in Alabama".

Just kind of reminded me of that...I guess if you don't have to pay $2k a month for your rent and have a decent job you can buy whatever bikes you feel like :)

I do this same sort of stupidity once a year too. Normally its when my yearly settlement check shows up, I pay off all my cards, and then go on a crap buying rampage. Something cathartic about it, total western justified gluttony.

So instead of being bitter with the guy, congratulate him, tell him to invest in the stock market next time, or buy a house full of out of work porn stars, and have a beer with the guy. Who knows, maybe with the spare cash he's got he'll buy a pitcher...

Settlement money? That's the best worst way to get money.

So without knowing the full details, and hoping it wasn't the "here's some cash for almost meeting with De Jeebus" sort of situation, its your money, spend it as you deem fit.

I for one am happy for you. You got to support the bike industry, which means another year of bikes being around that most folks can't afford.

Besides, keep all the gold you want in the bank, can't take it with you when you're dead.

Even better! So you, or your UBS guy (good company, dad's been with them forever) did good in the market, and you wanted to reinvest some of your gotten gains into sh!t you like, I say more power to you!

Though the next time you rake in a dividend or capitol gain like that, maybe a hookers and blow party? I'd drive up from Florida, we can go destroy Bham.

I'm not bitter at all, I'm happy for him. I just think it's funny to start a thread about spending stupid money.

I spend stupid money every month, but I refrain from "look at me and my stupid purchase" threads is all.

You ever think about buying a Union-street frame? Lol

Why the two mid-level FIT completes? You could have built a pro level bmx bike + a freecoaster wheel to swap back and forth....

Because I've never owned a BMX bike before and I don't really know much about geometry and such. So I decided to get two similar spec-level bikes with different geometry, brakeless/rear brake, and freecoaster/non to get an idea for my preferences.

I'm sorry. I thought a huge number of people start threads about their new bikes. Am I not allowed to?

Are you really that gifted on a bicycle that you'll be able to not look like a total poser ?

Yep you got me. I was trying to impress miss pacman. So we can expect you to not ever post about your new bikes? I obviously can handle my money if I had that much in the first place. There were lot's of idiots criticizing my financial choice without knowing me at all. Explain to me how I can tell people about my new bikes with out meeting your standards for arrogance.

You might start by waiting until you had the bikes and posted pictures to show them, and talked about how excited you were., instead of a posting a thread about how much money you were spending. Just a thought.

I thought based on the thread title it was more about the money you spent than the purchase of bikes.

Most new bike threads start out with "check out my new bike..."

Well I've been riding mtb street and DJ bikes for about 8 years now. I'm not a total noob. Are you suggesting I should have gotten a cheap Hoffman or DK?
No, just curious. Will you buy me a cheap hoffman or dk ? I'll be happy in the 200-300 dollar range from any major company. I can pm you my adress :lighten:

Have fun with the bikes. I am glad that there are people out there so enthused about buying bikes. Whether you ride them all or not, whether you keep or sell them, you helped support the biking industry.

Happy trails,

RR
