That reminds me, I've got a head in the freezer.dudes its lunchtime, wtf
hmmm cinnabon would make for awesome lunch.....Me too now. :barf:
Well that was poor planning, now wasn't it?That reminds me, I've got a head in the freezer.
Hrm, you're right.Well that was poor planning, now wasn't it?
No way you're going to defrost that thing in time for lunch. Not even in the microwave.
He could put it on a stick and eat it like a popsicle.Well that was poor planning, now wasn't it?

The eyes are like sucking on an ice-cube.He could put it on a stick and eat it like a popsicle.
Why?You guys are lucky it's Friday.
Only if you want the outside to get all crispy and the inside to have barely defrosted.Hrm, you're right.
Wonder if I can just put it in the oven and bake it...

You should just grind it up and make gelato.
Hey, it's friday!Boy, this thread is a real gem.
Maybe you could just slice it up real thing for some carpaccio.Where would I find a meat grinder that big? Or should I use a hacksaw to chop it into manageable chunks?
Boy, this thread is a real gem.
Mmm, antipasto platter!Maybe you could just slice it up real thing for some carpaccio.
Today, on Cooking with Hannibal: Hannibal shows 5 ways to deliciously prepare a severed head, and weaves a placemat out of unused hair!Kinda wild how this went from "I hate carbon fiber" to cooking with Hannibal Lecter...
Yeah, thanks for the link. If it were earlier in the game, I would go that route, but the post has taken just a little too much damage I think, for me to feel comfortable long term. Sucks but guess Ill just get a thomson and a sore back or a ti one and a lighter wallet.Seriously though, check out that carbon fiber grease Ilinked to originally. Designed to pretty much solve all your gripes short of the splintering.
Too much coffee?LOL! What the hell has happened in here?
Have you looked into a thudbuster perhaps? Maybe with a really stiff elastomer?Yeah, thanks for the link. It takes a special group of people to make that happen.Kinda wild how this went from "I hate carbon fiber" to cooking with Hannibal Lecter...
No thanks.Have you looked into a thudbuster perhaps? Maybe with a really stiff elastomer?
Err Umm RE-railBelieve it or not, back in the day i used to own this frame. Got it after an earlier plastic model of another STS broke.
Man what was i thinking....
i can say i've been interested in trying out the new GT i-drives for a light XC bikey....
Kind of how I feel about it, but worth a shot anyway. No thanks.
Engineer speak for the nasty?...line of insertion...jeez did I really just type that in this thread?
Nah it's cool it's got a "Wide Load" sticker in the back...:biggrin:Rhino, that is the worst saddle Ive ever seen.
Well if you find that repulsive you should have seen Rhino's Birkenstock spd's he was running back then. That saddle is freaking pastel pink and blue with white lettering. Im surprised it doesnt come with a lisp.
I'm not sure any of those posts are hi-quality:
I think it is probably not the post, but the frame. You might be able to ream it out with a flex hone, and that would increase the grip...The slipping sounds like a tolerance problem, or maybe you were hamfisted and crushed it.
But I agree that posts are not ideal yet. Anything where the carbon is bonded to an aluminum head like that still spooks me. I broke an easton carbon post clean off at the line of insertion and been riding aluminum or ti since.
...line of insertion...jeez did I really just type that in this thread?
Are you saying you want to remove material from his seat tube to increase the grip? Err, unless you are talking about scoring, I don't get it.I think it is probably not the post, but the frame. You might be able to ream it out with a flex hone, and that would increase the grip...
For real. Busted sternums and pereniums are teh suck!Still anything that has a chance of denting or bending before fully breaking is better than something that will just break.
Especially a handlebar going down a rocky descent or a jump landing failing, no thanks.
I have ass bombed and exploded a few thompson hardwares. I keep extra in my camelback tho.I've broken cheap seatposts before. It was a result of my fat ass landing too hard on the seat, not the cheapness of the seatpost.
Although my fat ass has abused several Thomson seatposts with no breakage.
ass bombed? The image is horrifying.I have ass bombed and exploded a few thompson hardwares. I keep extra in my camelback tho.
