Are you saying you want to remove material from his seat tube to increase the grip? Err, unless you are talking about scoring, I don't get it.
I believe many frames have slight intolerances which could affect the fit around the seatpost.

If the grip is uneven, you would have to overtighten the clamp in order to hold the post, which you could do with a metal post.

My Surly was like that, and after flex-honing it, my post stopped sliding...

P.S. Seven uses a carbon sleeve in the Ti bikes to insure a perfect fit.

Rhino, that is the worst saddle Ive ever seen.

OG, tolerances on Columbus tubing off? maybe, but I doubt it.
Oh but it is a comfy seat. And it is RED white and blue, dinkuss. :busted:

Tell me your butt wedges are comfy and I will tell you your ass is either dead (uh oh I see the thread swerving back) or you are wearing padded shorts.

I have a pristine RW&B Tioga DH tucked away for special occasions.

Nah it's cool it's got a "Wide Load" sticker in the back...

Jokes K...

That frame actually held up ok for the time i had it, but it sure didn't climb worth beans. But hardly any of the frames back then did.
Naw it didn't have a sign, but my bike beeped when I rolled backwards. :clue:

I ride w/ padded shorts for sure, but I dont have to. The saddle I use works just fine. My two assbones sit right on it. And its black, not pink/baby blue:biggrin:

Ur arse is, the dead ;)

Yeah that saddle has seen some abuse. I now rock the Tioga XL (basically the same long shell with less padding.):happydance:

That Tioga DH went through 3 bikes in college. :cupidarrow:

And yeah it faded to a kind of pink, didn't it? :D
