Looks like we're gonna have to put her down. She had a seizure, took her to the vet, and they said it was pretty much hopeless. She doesn't have feeling in her legs or rear end, nor any real control over those muscles (aside from her hips, it seems).

Teh sadness. Her brother is going to be a sad kitty.

That sucks. About 5 years ago we brought home two orphan ferrel kittens that were living under our beach house. They were both perfectly healthy kittens but when they were about 6 months old one of them got sick and suffered pretty much the same fate as yours.. lost feeling from the hips back, then started having seizures and had to be put down :( They never found out what was wrong with him.

This is the one that survived, he just turned 5 and has never had any heath issues. He's a pussy though.. no pun intended

blue that sucks :( but sometimes this is the harsh reality that has to be dealt with when it comes to pets

and i know what you mean about the sibling. our cats aren't exactly brothers, but they might as well be. they were born less than a month apart and the breeder we got them from all but gave us the second one as she couldn't stand to separate them (that, and the one wasn't exactly show quality, but whatever. they are both very affectionate cats). they get weirded out when they're apart for like an hour.
