New news. I heard they would be unveiling some young blood this week... I guess its Ruaridh.Ruaridh Cunningham? have i been hidden?
or is this news to everyone else too
hahaha, i just looked at my post again, anyone notice the mirrow images of the wheels are of dt 2350
The ones on the bike are as well, their photoshop guy forgot to mask them out on the reflection. Funny stuff.with intense tires
So nearly a great bike - just let down by all the Hayes Corp cr@p.
Will be good to see Kovarik on the same tyres as the competition at least.
Sounds like they've put together a real good package.
Good work No Wage
Careful, if you call out BS for what it is and correct it with actual facts and experience people here start getting pissed.Have you ridden with the new Hayes Brake (Stroker)? Are you aware they have a four pot dh brake coming out?
Are you aware Chris Kovarik won lots of races (over the years) and a World Cup in '06 on Intense Tires? Please!
Have you ever watched him ride? He's not really what you'd call a finesse rider. Perhaps you should ask him if his flat problem from last year was due to inappropriate line choice or attempting to save weight with fewer plys in his sidewalls.
It ain't the tires, trust me kids.
Not to mention worlds the year after next.Guess they don't care that Chris will more than likely miss 2 rounds of the WC if Canada won't let him in again.

population control...That and I don't think I'd ask Kovarik to his face if he felt he had made inappropriate line choices.
Kovarik ran 2-ply this year, but apparently because of internal politics, not to save weight.Have you ever watched him ride? He's not really what you'd call a finesse rider. I'm super stoked he's gonna be riding Maxxis, Peaty never ran blacked-out ITS tires for good reason.
And now half of his bike will have real suspension as well.
Yes, oatmeal cookies do in fact suck. You're right, Peat prefers Maxxis. I prefer chocolate chip cookies. Does that mean oatmeal cookies suck? (pardon my use of Kidwoo / InedibleHulk logic)
Umm...I think you mean the other way around, which only supports my case more. So, thanks...I think? As long as we're straying completely off subject and talking about riders other than Kovarik, why don't you ask Rennie about blacking out the ITS logos on his tires when he was sponsored by Maxxis.
Yes, it is the tires. Among other things. But mainly that.Like I said before, it ain't the tires.
DB rules. I have ridden about every product Manapoo has made for a long time. They have maintained an impressive level crappy-ness for that entire time...don't argue please. And RN Poop, have you ridden the new Dorado yet? Or were you inferring that the Cane Creek DB wasn't real suspension?
It depends. I believe improvement improvement is highly unlikely after years and years of explicit mediocrity.Do you, like many others refuse to believe in the capacity for change and improvement (in companies, people, anything)?
OK, you don't have to get it. I'm really OK with that.By that logic, we're all sh1tty bike riders because we sucked when we started. Or the new Vivid shock from SRAM is gonna suck because their last attempt at rear suspension failed miserably. I don't get it.
I don't even know what this means really. How do you know what I do or don't know, and why would you waste your energy speculating about it.Just sayin' - you don't know 'cause you haven't been there. Why waste energy speculating?
I dunno mate. I gave Intense Tyres a go this year and was flatting them left right and centre. Gave up and went back to Minions. Something there just didn't work for me.It ain't the tires, trust me kids.
Fair enough, everything said.Nope, one of the first years of the Syndicate team, they were sponsored by Maxxis and were blacking out the logos on their ITS tires. True story.
Sorry, not trying to be crusty, just saying it's pointless to speculate about stuff without first-hand knowledge. Without that knowledge, it can't be presented as fact.
Personally, I haven't ridden the new Manitou, but I don't realistically have any reason to believe that it's going to suck anymore than I think it's going to kick ass. The company is the same in name only for the most part. There are new engineers on the case. There is new manufacturing being set up. Hell, the whole kit and kaboodle is new. We have nothing to base an opinion of the new Dorado on - good or bad.
Saying you haven't been there was in reference to riding the new Dorado. Sorry for the obtuse comment.
Oh, I always wanted to mention - "HOLY DIVAaaaaaaHHHHHHH....yeaaaaaaah!"
Roll them 4-ply FRO's...I dunno mate. I gave Intense Tyres a go this year and was flatting them left right and centre. Gave up and went back to Minions. Something there just didn't work for me.
thats like a 4 big macs and a small diet coke:huh:I've got a set of FRO 909's on my practice wheelset w/ Maxxis Welterweight Tubes and have yet to flat on the super rocky stuff.
6 flats at diablo on the fro lite tires...never again..ill stick w/ 4ply and lower pressureI've never flatted an intense 2-ply except for once burping the stans in it.
I was even flatting the front with the 2-plys... Something that I've almost never done with Minions. One flat happened during a 60kph run into a tabletop that had a bad cambered corner on the approach. Scared the crap outta me. Went back to Minions a few weeks later and gave my Intense stuff away.I've never flatted an intense 2-ply except for once burping the stans in it.
yah for real.thats like a 4 big macs and a small diet coke:huh:
cunningham should be there!Hopefully I will get to see Kovarik ride an NPS this coming year. Innerleithan?? Say it is so!
You do get pretty ornery.Careful, if you call out BS for what it is and correct it with actual facts and experience people here start getting pissed.
