What??
You know, you don't need to run the shock the upside down. The cut out on the Shock Link is for the clearance for Revox and new Swinger X6 compersion knobs. Fox DHX, 5th Coil and Old Swinger can run as it is from the factory.

LG1 weighs 195 grams, or 0.43 lbs.

Superdeft, I noticed in the build listed you showed a 32T ring. That's pretty small for DH use, even with a road cassette. Heck, 34T is pushing it. At whistler I can spin out a 34T all over the place. You may want to consider a 36T. Just a suggestion.

Good luck and have fun!

Dave
I may put the trusty STS with 36t on there when races start or look for a 34t guide ring. I'll have to see what happens with the 32t, because it is on the small end for most DHers and I do expect to be using the last few gears often.

Somewhat back on topic: for my build it seems that cutting any significant weight is going to involve some seriously spendy upgrades, and I'm really happy with how it feels right now.
