Just curious, Brian...how long has Julie been the product manager for the chevron cars? That sounds like a way cool gig. If she's been at it for a while...were YOU the inspiration behind the little green one with the mtn bikes on top? I wonder how many of us on RM have em on our desks. I also have the one with the wood panels (I certainly don't want to say I have a WOODY!) and a surf board...that ones cool too, so give her props from me!

5 years, nope the bike one cam,e out before Julie started. However I helped redesign the the lift for the tow truck, and Brent has a car named after his middle name, and Brent is also on the packaging

i'd never heard of the chevron cars until i clicked on that link. must be an east coast thing. i can't think of the last time i saw a chevron.

and how does chevron's gas quality differ from anyone else's? it's not like they own their own refinery, is it? my bro's an oil broker so i'll find out the skinny.

Its just been recommend by several car manufactures to use Chevron products in their cars. Its manufactured as a Top tier gas. (The highest of the top 3 oil companies in the nation.

I feel for you though. Every forum I've read on has selective rule management. I wouldn't take it personal. Clearly there was no nudity, but it was looked at as inappropriate. Yeah I have been on the for a long time now, and i never found things of that nature were not tolerated. Look at orven avatars i mean cmon...i dunno, not a big deal, just didnt expect it to get deleted.

The good news is the mod who took it down noted it and also made it clear not to repost it. That eliminates any confusion if nothing else. there have been many instances in the past where things jut vanished w/o a trace.

However I still think it may have been a little bit "preemptive" if anything.

I think it just surprises most people because CK is a solid company that always take the high road. Their facilities are top-notch environmentally, and they offer incentives to employees who ride to work based on how far they ride to get there.

I think what people aren't realizing is that for CK to interrupt the regular operations by doing this pink batch they probably already lost X amount of profit. So the baseline has already been reduced. I'm not really knocking them, I just think that something like $5 per would be more appropriate. Selle San Marco (I think) is offering pink saddles and they are giving a decent percentage to charity. (~20%).
