In hell. Welcome!
Hell it's probably to cheaper to fly from the states and you get higher level of service.
Cheaper, yes. Higher level of service - welllll, that is not granted. If you pay, the quality and technology advantage of good US physicians is still well ahead of most EU countries, would be my guess. (speaking from personal experience) But, you have to pay to play.

In a van.... down by the river
Wife and I got up at the ass-crack of 10:15 yesterday. Got our shit together and got up to Mary Jane around 1:15. Pretty much skied nothing but big, fluffy bumps until close. Dropped by the pub for a pint and a plate of poutine then headed home.

Traffic would have been completely painless if not for the FUCKING MORONS PLAYING BUMPER CARS.

How hard is it, really, not to crash into one another?

they've probably moved past dangling those chocolate covered donuts .

FTFY

And speaking of health in a general sense, my fiberglass arm condom comes off today, so I've reserved a 1st class ticket on the stoke boat afterwards.

Regarding @CBJ 's would be porch purloiner , shoot me your address and we can arrange to have a "cobra-ina-box" sent over (definitely need to carefully coordinate that delivery tho)

Very, apparently.

No one told them they needed increased traction in winter conditions and that tailgating should only be performed outside donkey stadium.
I won't lie, I drive like a hoodlum year round. I do however coin up for good snows, have AWD (for acceleration and cornering under acceleration), and generally know how to drive like a hoodlum due to years of practice. When I see the white knuckled soccer mom following me in the Tahoe over Berthoud, it baffles me. Just because the car ahead of you can and is, doesn't mean you can or should.

The number of people driving in heavily worn all-season tires blows my mind. Then watching them drive like normal or trying to keep pace with the guy in an Audi/Subie with steelies (read snows) and a box is just...:twitch:

Morning Monkeys.

I feel like an epic failure this morning. Obvious issue made it to production this weekend and I missed it looking the other way. Found and fixed, but never should have made it that far.

This is the thing that perplexes me further... roads were completely dry both on the way up and on the way back.
Well you also didn't warn them not to watch Game of Thrones, while checking BookFace on their phone while "driving".

Monarch extending their season until April 21 now. I was under the impression that Forest Service dictated the season for spring Elk, but maybe I was mistaken.
Eldora has the same kind of agreement but if must be flexible cuz we extended the season to that weekend too.

Well sure, but how many assault rifles can you buy per day?
Americans on the internet always shout about people using the assault rifle name since supposedly it's not a real thing so I will not fall for this trap. Also we cannot buy rifles in Poland. Mostly because we earn shit and shooting guns costs money. There are easy loopholes to get even assault guns but most people don't know about it and there.

Sorry but that's plain untrue. You are US based so you probably know where to find top physicians in US and don't know how to do it in EU. That's why it looks that way. Remember in Europe we have a ton of old rich people plus a ton of silly sports that lead to injuries. Seriously my prefered surgeon clinic is one of the top knee experts in the world. Yes with all the fancy orthopedic gear. The average level of healthcare in Poland is shit because we spend a lower % of our GDP than almost anyone in EU (and we should be spending proportionally more since lower population density = higher spending needed) but it's easy to get really REALLY good quality health service in Europe. Especially in orthopedics. If I kill my knee I can pay a guy who fixed top soccer/football players in the world like Ronaldo and it will cost me 7-10k USD for the surgery. I know because my good friend did exactly that. I'm pretty sure football players who are paid tens of milions of dollars per year to play would go to US if they could get better service. I'm pretty sure the aftermentioned John Malkovich would too.

Remember a large part of US looking better in EU also stems from 2 other factors - single market so best doctors/other stuff are not fragmented around many different country but one and 2nd - the cost. You assume more expensive should kinda lead to better but administrative costs eat a ton of that in both medicine and universities.

Overall there are some great specialists in US, There are some great specialists in EU. Without looking at studies it's hard to say. Overall US healthcare gets really bad ratings but since we are talking about the top of the top it might be a bit hard to find good studies speaking about who has the most high ranking experts in all fields.

I still have my EU passport and family and friends living there. I can compare the access to healthcare and quality of the services on both sides of the pond a little better than you might think. If you have the money or insurance, the us is great. My wife had both ACLs done by a surgeon who has red sox players' jerseys in his office. I believe the first surgery cost us $150 and the second one a bit more. However, if we weren't insured, those would cost a hundred grand total. On the other hand, I hear plenty stories of bribery and delayed care from my family in Europe.

You know, in all of my collection, I have not a single "assault rifle", nor a single modern sporting g rifle....... I would still wager I can perform much more quality work with my precision collection than any "assault rifle", or msr.......

She says...."I am glad you know how to fix this stuff"...
