We're kicking off the 2024 Secret Santa! Exchange gifts with other monkeys - from beer and snacks, to bike gear, to custom machined holiday decorations and tools by our more talented members, there's something for everyone.
While modeling everything, I realized it's unclear if the 68" at the angled wall is from the "wall bend" or the other side of what I'm assuming is a beam. Your 2 drawings sort of contradict each other there. That will have a slight impact on the ceiling angle and subsequent height at whatever depth.
Interestingly enough, a closet system similar to this in our master walk-in closet is on my to-do list for this year. We looked briefly into the systems at the Container Store, which seem expensive, but I think a majority of the cost is in the installation, which we won't need.
I did a semi-ridiculously large install of the nicer modular wall-mounted, all-metal shelves/bins/pegboard/desk stuff from Ikea for a craft area for the woman last year. Mounting them so I felt comfortable with the strength was a pain in the ass and a ton of work, but the stuff itself was actually surpringly nice. Typically when I think Ikea, I think meatballs and shitty particle board furniture, but some stuff is decent.
