Gah, got the poison ivy in small patches seemingly all over my body. Twas only a matter of time, only so much brush clearing one can do before Toxicodendron Radicans took its revenge.

Present. Dragged my carcass to the high school track early this morning for one hour of hard running. 8.52 miles @ 7:02 avg...about as good as I can do at 6:00 in the morning. I'd probably be 30 sec/mile faster if I waited until the afternoon but wanted to get it done so I'd be free for pedalin' after work. rofl

hello, I am here. Kids are to summer camp and daycare. The little guy seems to have rebounded from COVID, the big one never got it. I seem to be free aside from the occasional "OMG I AM DYING OH WAIT I STOOD UP TO FAST" sort of symptoms.

Today will be a mix of work and non-work. Will try to bike to the pool to swim some laps on my lunch break. All I got.

Morning Monkeys.

No idea what's on the agenda today, maybe I should look at my outlook calendar so I know what to avoid.

/Wonders if @jonKranked kid knows they're getting a new bike because a 15+ year old Soon is tiny compared to modern bikes...

:D
too big for him now. he's still probably got at least 2 years on his current 24" wheel bike. but the whole **point** of getting this is **because** it will be an appropriate size for him as a next bike. will probably need shorter cranks and narrower bars for him, when the time is right.

and there is a pump track / skills area opening next spring this will be perfect for me to ride it.

I mean... at a minimum it had to have been said by either:
:D
It was me/mutually said by mrs sunringlerider. Having kids close to family is quite nice. Also not living in town pretty much keeps me sane. That said, some of the recent gop bullshit in Indiana makes me want to sell it all.

Today sucks because some little voice told me to get into insurance, and I have been too stubborn/stupid to run as fast as I can.

I feel your…itch… I recently started working on what feels like a poison oak plantation and have low grade urushiol reactions constantly since Feb this year. Ivy-X pre and post skin treatment seems to work best for me amongst the commercial stuff. The hardest part for me is getting the oil off my clothes and equipment to prevent reexposure!!

Seriously looking at bikes for SqEarl and I.

Who rides a Bronson and who rides an SB130 or SB140? These have both caught my eyes but I am concerned about the geometry for shorty me. I currently ride a small 575 and he's a medium.

Ideally we would like 29" wheels (we already have 29" HTs); FS to meet our rides (we both have 575s), SqEarl would like the option to run wide tires....maybe up to 3" even though we both have fat bikes this could be fun for both.

I don't think you'll find any main brand FS bikes which will take up to that fat, 2.6" might be the limit.

Earl should get a Bronson or the new Nomad. The latest SC bikes pedal great, no need for going short travel.

I can check if a 27.5 2.8 fits in the rear triangle of my Megatower.

Trek full stache can run 29x3" tires, but that's likely it.

There are probably quite a few that can do 650bx3" "plus bike" tires if that's your fix.

Most standard tires are now 2.5 or 2.6 which is really pretty fat.
