Big meeting this morning with the new buyers of our company and us PMs that I’m not looking forward to. Today may be the start of my retirement, who knows. I really can’t wait to see what bullshit comes out of our operations managers mouth. I really like everyone and have a hard time saying ‘I hate him’. But I wouldn’t fart in a jar to give him air.

Slightly better sleep last night, but only by this |---| much.

Hike or ride night, not really sure which one. Its been snow and raining up north, so its a gamble of what the conditions will be.

But first, gotta do this work, poop and coffee thing.

presumably a body volume measurement evaluation. If it is what i think it is, uses water displacement to calculate volume, which is then calculated with body weight to give an empirical BMI measurement.
That is quite some effort to (maybe) prove you wrong. ;)

 what is this is?
It’s a body composition test. You go into this little spacecraft shaped chamber and it senses how much air is displaced, basically, thereby providing info on one’s density and thus fat vs muscle.

I got two done (and a DEXA at that time, no longer offered here) a few years back so checking on progress

Dumped at least a foot yesterday afternoon/evening. I got out and started making one of our winter-only trails, it was a little thin at first, but not on the way back. Car had 6" of snow on it just from a little 3hr snow-shoe. Should be full-on now for our winter trail packing and building.

Morning Monkeys.

The wife has declared that I go to the bakery and get her something before she cuts a bitch.

I'm only down the hall so I can overhear her screaming into the phone "customer service!!!" trying to end a painful phone tree.

Eating the antibiotics. Doc thinks I've got a lingering bacterial infection from when my ear was plugged with wax. Seems straight forward enough.

Shoveling snow. Inspecting ammonia detectors. Looking for multi gas analyzers that do o2/co2 and function in a 0-2% range with .1% accuracy. All the fun things.

Meeting complete. Retirement will likely start after year end bonus is received at end of month. Man, I’ve really been miserable in my job for far too long. I know this because as I sit here at my computer I feel A sense of relief and happiness. Life is too short to be unhappy at a job to work toward what? Retirement when you hit 65 and are to old and jaded and broken to do fun things.

Well F, it's more like 2' of snow now. Kinda need it to slow down and stop so we can get the roads plowed and get out to actually pack down the trails.
