FT look for a tripped GFI. Then test the switches. Plus look closely at the wiring. My house is from the late 70s. They used some crappy wire and I had a small fire in the junction box. Had to run new Romex from the junction box back to the main panel.

Holy hell I haven't worked out this hard since I broke my ankle 7 months ago. I did 61 minutes of hill intervals on the elliptical. The last 15 minutes were brutal. My hr was not recovering on the flats (kept a constant turn over regardless of the incline of the ramp)

Finally found the tripped GFI... it was on an outlet on the back patio. Apparently the basement lights get power from there, but the outlets in the basement don’t. Odd, but mystery solved. I can see again!
