When you say the outlook text form of the numbers, do you mean One, Two, three, of that 1, 2, 3 is numerals in the body of the email?
It's a block on numbers (1 2 4 5 6) with erratic spacing and no delimiters.

That messes up the spacing so bad that I can use fixed width to pull out the data I need.
Do the two step. Do the fixed width slice, then copy the numbers that aren't numbers and paste them into notepad, then copy and paste that back into Excel once the embedded formatting has been scrubbed.

Or send it back to the asshat who sent it to you and tell them to enter that isht in Excel.

... do you have power query?

I'm doing this as a back door until I can query. It's my manager, so I can only do so much re: sending it back to get batter data.

Power Query is an Excel plug-in that will allow you to query and transform data inside of Excel. If you have it installed in Excel, you could use it to transform the text data.

You are using words I don't know, so I doubt it then.

you put the cell you want the value of in parenthesis. it works for me, then again i'm using office 2016.
Neither are working. I guess we're going to have to wait until I get program access.

notepad++ is quite monocle though @stoney
I was about to post that I also use Textpad and notepad++ depending upon what I'm doing. Block select mode and regular expressions have been used lots in my work.

Or as SS said, go command line in *nix. Cygwin in Windows was being used by me this morning.

Overnight flights are a bitch—Mariko really did not want to wake up and sit straight for landing. Perhaps no Hawaii again for a few years. Didn't help that the wife put the keys from the valet in the front cup holder and then the kids scrambling about the car closed the lid on said cup holder. We couldn't find them for a solid 15 minutes or so, replete with sleep addled brains.
