Nice place but tons of nice things to see in the area. I would rent a car and drive around too. Get a convertible as there is tons of stuff to look at. Nice (the town) is close too. The train runs along the coast if you do not want to rent a car.

A driver?? Ditch him and put more money into a better car. There are some amazing roads in that area. Its not like you will get any point on your license from speeding.

The maréchaussée are very sneaky and love to hassle Americans. If someone tries to sell you Hash other then the concierge at the Hotel. Just say no as they are probably a cop.

rent a yacht tender from the south side of the harbor
the wear the most hollywood-esque outfit you can find.
pull into the "yacht club de monaco" and ask for a "car service" if they ask "rivage retraite?" you say Wi.....
you will then be ushered off in a private car to one of monacos great hotel casinos with a compd room and all luxurys on the yacht clubs tab. ask for a "hôtesse de soirée" at the concierge desk and you will get a hottie to accompany you for the night of gambling and drinking......these are not for sex so dont ask.
when getting ready to leave make sure you leave the hotel 5 hours before check out and leave a message at the desk to return your tender to the place of rental.
you will have a free weekend of luxury and wot have to pay a dime for it.

Don't go to the main island or the second island. The main island is the industry island, so there really isn't much to do as a visitor. The next island out is a tourist trap that was built up in the 60's. The third island are farther are what you see in the pictures.lucky you.

thanks for the headsup. Bora Bora is where we wanted to go and looking at a map, it doesnt look like one of the bigger islands. 1.5 weeks there is equivalent to 3-4 days in Monaco for the race
