the secret loam!
this is the last year of the Psychosis, Sam Hill won it last year with a time of 12:49

Interesting to see how he does in his first race since the worlds crash.
Hill and Kovarik are confirmed entries with the Atherton family possible making a last minute appearance.

$5000 from Red Bull should pull in some more names with mount st. anne WC in a few weeks.

Up sh*t creek, without a paddle
This particular race is certifiably insane...

And this comes from someone that raced the Garbo DH last year in the rain and fog I couldn't see 15 feet in front of me for the first 1/3 of the race...

However, that said, I wish I could get up and give 'er a go....

I like the line in Seasons "the slowest you can go is still too fast"
Truth.

Drop in to Dead Dog: "holy fvck. I can't slow down"
Accelerate. A lot.
Turn left: "holy fvck. it just got steeper. I'm in the trees and I have to turn now."
Accelerate. More.
enter: "funnest trail ever"
enter: "climb?"
:Puke:
enter: RTC. "if I fvck this up, at least I get a sweet chopper ride"
Accelerate. Unwillingly.
enter: "I'm out of adrenaline and I'm only halfway"
survive.

Towing the party line.
damn. freecaster coverage of this course would be epic.
Nearly impossible. When i looked into it when i was selecting races, i came to the conclusion I'd need like 3 helicopters + about 2 dozen cameras. Or about 30 microwave transmitter enabled helmet cams.

Next up for us is 2 world cups and crankworx.

What's the vertical drop on that track and how long is the climb?
Race course net vert is 3800ft - ish.

Climb vert is waytoomuch. I've heard both 200ft and 200m. I tend to believe the 200ft, but it's hard to tell when you warp-eleven speed into a bunch of it. The 200m comes from a dude that rides with GPS, so I don't know. Either way, the view at the top of the climb is second only to the view from the launch pad.

He came in second last year, but he has a torn ACL this year.

Kyle,
might not affect things depending on how long ago it happened... mine has been torn for a little over a year... feels fine w/ a brace.

(getting surgery to repair it in 2 weeks... yay)

How did Kovarik get into Canada? He changed his name

BTW Stik, never count out Kovarik if it is steep and nasty! ;)

SO glad I did this. There were times when the rain was coming down and I thought I was honestly going to DNS. The chance of hurting yourself is just so high. In practice I got stuck in the group at the top of the lower steep section as they air lifted some guy who'd come hot-shotting it in way too fast. I could hear him screaming as they strapped him to the spine board whilst reports over the marshall radio were reading out the list of suspected injuries to the medics. That genuinely sketched me out. Despite hitting the man's line throughout the previous day's practice I never hit it again. Healing vibes to the injured rider, but holy cow, this race was one hell of an experience.
