I just got back from his house. He is going to see another specialist next Monday to see if he needs surgery. Too much inflamation, etc right now to tell if he needs his Quad surgically repaired. He was limping around however without crutches.

ouch. I know the feeling. My first Semi-Pro Dh race was at Mt Snow and I was going into the final woods high speed entry and slipped. I landed quad first on a perfectly smooth, slightly raised rock the shape of a giant egg. It bruised my entire quad from top to bottom and I could barely get down the dirt road...just rolling my bike. It was DEEP!. EMT's made me pull my pants down (bad man...bad man!) and were like..."you're gonna be all shades of purple in the coming weeks. Here's some Advil."

Hope like hell that's all that's wrong with Seth. Definitely get it checked though. Rolled a car on my arm years ago and only went to 1 doc who said it would be fine. After the swelling went down and months of pain later, a second doc informed me of the tear in my forearm muscle that could have been fixed if I'd come in sooner.

You missed a great race Alex. 95 pros! half what it used to be but the most I have seen in a while. The course was extremely fast, even for Mt. Snow. As usual my rear wheel barely lasted the weekend, time for a new rim. I noticed Sam Hills rear wheel was WAY messed up at the finish too.

It wll be interesting to see what courses they use for the National championships in 2007 and 08.

talked to Herndon about it yesterday. He said it's the fastest it's ever been. Said he'd come up to a section and not think he'd float far down course on something like a tiny bump. Then suddenly you'd float for a long time and clip another bump and float again and almost go flying off course.

Kinda like skipping rocks on a pond....

That sucks to hear about Chris. I stopped by the hospital in Bennington (been there before ) to see Chris on my way out but didn't see is truck and trailer in the parking lot so I thought they had released him. So it is more than broken ribs?

Thanks for the props. I had two really weird runs. In my qualifier I scared the hell out of myself (landing on my front wheel with my feet over the seat at about 40 mph) but some how survived. Then in my race run I wussed out in the section that bucked me then tried way to hard to make up the time lost and made a lot of little mistakes. All of the above considered I was pretty darn happy with my finish.

No CB for me I have a camp in Denver to teach. See you at Deer Valley?
