She would totally beat me up if she knew I called her my baby monkey too! Alex is due for a new bike and she really wants a Salsa Timberjack 20+ (she really wants a farbike like the rest of us have). I’d love to find a used one, but not looking good. New is $550-600 which is a bit out of the substitute teacher pay grade. So I call in the power of the monkey — Anyone heard of a used one near you?

I think it only said it ships to the store only for the Salsa
The commencal @HardtailHack posted is claimed at a little under 23lbs and they sell consumer direct.
It's not even really plus tires (2.6") but it's got disc brakes which you don't see much on bikes that size.
We have an REI now, but not sure if you're coming back here to visit the in-laws any time soon.

Yeah I was stoked this year when Kona started supplying Honzo's in 20" & 24" wheel sizes complete with airforks and Hydraulic disc brakes.
That's pretty big for a kid's bike and as children weigh so little they shouldn't need a full fat to ride a bit of sand or hard pack snow.
