Seeking for guidance in the bike forums, i saw the light...
After 7 years with my Sunn Notion Cr-Mo, its time to get a new bike, and i would like your help here.
Case file: DIRT is a four letter word to me, i live in the city, i ride in the city, i break my bones and burn my flesh in the city, concrete is what stands between me and earth's molten core. I ride "commuting" a minimum 30Km every day, launching from curbs, stairs, endoing, manualing, bunnyhopping and playing all the way.
It has to be Cr-Mo, 24" wheels, a complete bike (not a build) 700-1000euros and MAYBE multispeed, i have no experience with mtb singlespeed, i like the idea, i am willing to try it, but my city isn't exactly flatland and i would like the upgrade option of a rear 8speed.
These are my choices (not in a particular order), feel free to comment, add a choice (having in mind i live in europe), and help me with your opinion:
1. Specialized P.1 Cr-Mo + 24" front wheel
2. Specialized P.2 Cr-Mo + 24" wheels
3. Specialized P.Street Cr-Mo (Too heavy???)
4. Dmr Rhythm MKII Cr-Mo
5. Commencal Absolut Cr-Mo + 24" wheels (My first choice)
6. DK General Lee 24 + front brake, suspension. (I really really like it)
PS. Owners of the P.1 Cr-Mo (international version with the front discbrake), i would like to know if it can be converted to multi speed, and the bike weight.
