That is the 2006 Boxxer World Cup that is Air sprung. I got a chance to play with one last weekend and I couldn't tell the difference from a coil sprung in a parking lot test. I wasn't thinking or I would have requested to trade bikes with the industry guy that had it on his 2006 bike.

I also rode the 2006 XO shifters and they are awesome. They feel very smooth but have a nice detent. The adjustable lever is also nice. If it wasn't nearly 100 degrees and causing my brain to overheat, I would have grabbed the camera.

You probably have Canadien Internet. NAFTA blocks porn to be transmitted over the border, including bike porn...

...hmmmm.

So the Boxxer Air has finally gone from BlackBox development to pre-production.

Anyone know whose Iron Horse SGS that is in the pics???

I was at the NZ 2006 Rock shox/sram/avid/Truvativ release and yes the boxxer line no longer uses pinch bolts, instead a variation of the maxale system which uses only one 6mm allen key to remove, looks pretty sweet, the WC fork we saw was still preproduction and the dropouts still resembled the previous pichbolt ones, but production ones will be different, and god damn did it feel light, right on the 6lb mark!

Maybe if I was going to look at a new Marzocchi fork, I would search for the pic, but this is too much work for a Rock Shox product.

Now at least you won't be stripping out the lowers anymore...how the hell does that axle setup work anyways??....that adjuster looks a wee bit vulnerable....i imagine i'll be seeing a few of those broken off.....well...that's if the surf bug dies off and I start riding again

The axle works real well. You thread in one side w/ a 6mm and then tighten the other side w/ a 6mm to lock it in place.

I have been bashing the fork for a couple weeks now (up at Whistler and Diablo) and the adjuster has been holding up just fine. Bottom line is that this fork is friggin sweet!

is there any speculation on price? As in, should I order my 05 boxxer team now or wait for the motion control?

Ya I have the air one (World Cup) and I will testify that the thing is ungodly smooth. Believe the hype on this thing! Sub 6lbs, plush, and adjustable.

Like the old monster T? Screw in one side then do up a pinch bolt on the other?

In New Zealand the RRP for a WC is $2699nz or $1835.99us, sounds abit high,
but then a 40RC2 has a RRP of $3320nz=$2177us

So im guessing it will be cheaper for you guys, we get so screwed down here!

gee, lets stay with steel springs
Dude, air sucks! At least it did in 1999, so why let new technology change our opinion? Disc brakes and [every kind of] suspension sucked once, too...which is why I ride a bike that looks like this:
