sorry, thats my giddyness shining through my rough manly-man exterior...(shriek)Bicyclist said:The embarassed girly laugh scares me, but nice bike.
yeah i cant really put my finger in it either.sayndesyn said:something about the new Giants suspension design is hardcore porn. Can't quite put my finger on it...
yeah probably...the shop threw those on without my prompting; it doesnt come with any pedals so they tagged them on no cost just to get me going i guess. They had nothing else really so no complaints.nice- maestro has treated me pretty good so far.
are you keeping the flat pedals?
now wheres my hammer.....Nice pedal reflectors
much better as they dont sell these at sport marts :redhot:konabiker said:Sweet IronHorse.

I think the total frame layout is ugly, but the individual tubes are beautiful.
for me it's about the downtube flowing into the seat stay. The bike is tech and organic at the same time. And super compact is always sexy....something about the new Giants suspension design is hardcore porn. Can't quite put my finger on it...
yeah its strange, losta details missing there. Its about 14", maybe a smidge less.Biscuit said:I'm really curious about the bb height on those.
Mind throwing a tape on for me? I couldn't find it on Giant's website.
Hutchinson Bull dogs. So much for the Kendas that were supposed to come with it.Are those WTB Timberwolf tires?

Are those WTB Timberwolf tires? I put two runs on mine today, removed them in the parking lot, and put on my old faithful Mobsters. Timberwolves, astonishingly horrible in all conditions!
Anyone want a pair of them in 2.5?!?!
well if i cant try/see the bike, i wont even consider it. Besides I think the Reign is more on the 'rougher' side of all mountain.RaID said:why did you choose the reign over the mk3?
was it just the sport mart fact?
The giants are cheaper and have a better component spec than the equally priced mk3. And as far as I know the giants now come with a lifetime warranty on the frames. The IH is a fine bike but in my opinion the giant is just as good and if you can save yourself a little cash that's a good reason to buy it.RaID said:why did you choose the reign over the mk3?

ChrisRobin said:Looks nice! For some reason I never pictured you walking into a store and buying a full bike.
Since i bought a house on Rigaud mountain  (i was going to send emails to you and Mike but i guess the cats out of the bag now). It's an 18" frame with 6" front and back to it still leans on the decending sides of things; could never bare a 'real' cross country bike.ChrisRobin said:Matt, since when have you been interested in trail riding?

So are Mobsters, worst Maxxis tire ever.HotButterToppin said:Are those WTB Timberwolf tires? I put two runs on mine today, removed them in the parking lot, and put on my old faithful Mobsters. Timberwolves, astonishingly horrible in all conditions!

Wow, you bought a house eh? I'm jealous. I guess your new job is treating you well. I can't wait until I'm at that point of my life. Of course a $500,000 house in Vancouver is a $200,000 house in Montreal. If it wasn't for being in Victoria I wouldn't even consider starting up trail riding. Congrats man! I'm happy for you!zedro said:Since i bought a house on Rigaud mountain  (i was going to send emails to you and Mike but i guess the cats out of the bag now). i needed a new parts pool so going OEM spec was the way to go; overall its a decent spec so i had to talk myself down from changing stuff out (like the wheelset, slightly lighter cranks). I will be putting a 2 ring guide and changing the gearing, but gonna ride it for now and see what i feel like doing. I havent owned a trail bike in awhile so already it feels pretty light.
The whole area was out of Reigns and none left at Giant, so had to drive out to Mascouche to get it (otherwise it was Quebec City or Toronto).
thanksChrisRobin said:Wow, you bought a house eh? I'm jealous. I guess your new job is treating you well. I can't wait until I'm at that part of my life.
