Opinions on a sticker

I created a sticker that I am considering putting in my car window. I have a Toyota Matrix and would be putting the sticker either on the back window or the rear side window. I am going to be getting my windows tinted soon and I was actually thinking about the stickers being done in black instead of white. They would be visible still but minimal. I may still do it in white though as well. The white areas would be knocked out.

Anyway what do you think?

Why would you do this? Are those your sponsors or somethin? :brow: Don't be "that guy" that has the Fox sticker in the window and owns nothing Fox.

Nadda. Those are just name brands of items on my new bike build. Not to mention that I don't have permission from the companies to sell items with their names on it.

The only things not on my bikes are the Zune, Starbucks, and powerbar but they are what help me keep going ;) More than anything I was just board here at work and was playing around with logo source site.

And I do own something from all of those companies.

Only 38 posts and a custom title! Where's mine?
LOL actually I think it was more like 3 posts. I was accused of spamming the boards when I joined. I'm not here to make money just to chat. I do like my title although I think it makes everyone automatically think I am a spammer.

I guess I don't get the need to promote random businesses that only peripherally relate to your riding? I mean, if you've got a certain business or two that you really like and believe in, that's cool, but do you really have a passionate interest in all of those companies?

Kind of a cool sticker, I'd just expect to see it from a sponsored rider. Are ya' gonna make up new ones if you, say, switch to Manitou? ;)

Well, for one thing, it's a discussion piece. People may approach him about biking.

Definitely. I have an Evil Bikes sticker on my car myself. Was just thinking that having one or two companies whose products you believe in would be less random and look like less of a sponsorship tag.

That was one main reason I was thinking about it. There aren't many mnt bikers around here and the ones that are arent evident. SO I figured the stickers might get a conversation going. As for the designing another if I change brands, sure why not. I'm a graphic designer and enjoy doing things like that. It is always fun to play with different styles.
wonder why?
Honestly I don't know. I have not once tried to sell a product. I have only answered specific questions being asked. Yes the sticker has products logos but they are specific to a build I am doing other than the Jamis(which is my road bike). I'm not trying to sell anything in this thread either. I just wanted some opinions. If you put bike porn up and it shows a logo are you then a spammer. Not till you offer to sell it.

That is true. I am thinking about "pimping" out my matrix though. I think it would be kinda cool to have biker logos where people expect care product logos. That in itself could start a conversation.

Bah! I have done nothing in my 42 posts but give honest feedback or good conversation. Yeah there was a misunderstanding at the beginning about my intentions in a thread. Why "because of ALL CAPS copy" Come on. If i'm never going to live my beginning down then what is the point. And no I am no sockpuppet. I am also Streamline on mtbr.com on bicycling.com I am pea3698 The streamline name just comes from an gmail address that I have dedicated to bike orders and forums.

He has access to a logo resource site, so I assume his company does.

I think the sticker is badass, can you make me one? Except a bit different?

Stickers are for poseurs, carry your bike around instead if you want people to talk to you about it. People with stickered up cars make me think they are hippies (cuz the stickers are always some sort of hippie/lesbian/left wing propoganda) or they are like those 'extreme' guys from Harold & Kumar go to White Castle (all show, no go, intolerant dumbasses latching on to the next big thing on MTV).

Hey if you like it, do it up. You asked for opinions so I was giving my $0.02 but I don't think it's a bad idea if you've got the time to design and produce the sticker.

I think the whores that walk the streets in Oakland need to wear t-shirts just like your sticker, except the brands would be Revlon, Suave, Lee Press-On, Dove, Massengill, Trojan, Lotrimin, Tampax, Valtrex, etc...

After all, only a fvcking whore would sport that much logo.
