managed to get out riding with my youngest a couple of times over the long weekend:
this was his first time on a flow trail... he was pretty intimidated by the size of the lips (some of them are about 8' tall... so yeah!)

We rode the trails on the west side of the island. The dirt is amazing. Trails were great. Guide and driver were awesome. When I get back I’ll definitely bring my own bike though. Was pretty disappointed with the rental through Freeride Madeira. Bike was clapped out, which is to be somewhat expected with a rental. Went to add air to the rear tire at the top of the first run and noticed the spokes were crazy loose. A lot of them. Checked the front, same thing. Me another guy riding got them situated. Brakes were in need of a bleed terribly. And the rear pads were dragging. Just shit that should be situated before it goes out the door. The main mechanic was on vacation and they had some young kid fixing bikes according to our guide. Either way it was a sick day riding and will definitely go again through them. Headed up for granite falls and new pro line at luiseno bike park last night..

There's some ridiculously fast and talented riders in this group. Yes Foy looks a bit like a Sam Kineson lol...that kid on far right is one of Steve fords kids ..they will hit anything and put down a hot lap on total crap and put up numbers...Foy and Tim in middle, started riding with those guys 16+ years ago and we have built, rode and did some wild crap .haven't rode with them in years...

Was a good ride ..

I went night riding on my own last night. Cased the shit out of a jump I've hit a million the local kids have "re-shaped"

Oh.. and what camera and settings do you use to get night riding video to look as good as that?

Connor had the go pro and set at a default.. I'll ask him his settings, his were good.
I slapped mine on and all 3 batteries were dead bwhich was frustrating...the batteries have been going belly up for a while...

After having similar issues with mine (just a hero7) I switched from the genuine gopro batteries to higher capacity 1500mAh batteries off amazon and they not only give longer runtime. They seem to last longer without noticeable degradation too.

I'll have to look into that...these charge and are good then just dump super fast . I would like longer run time and reliable... appreciate the tip . I'll browse for some this evening since I have to anywase...

When you already have a gopro. You don't use it a whole lot. And new batteries for it are cheap.
IME the yearly POV action cam arms race has been fairly pointless for many years now unless you're a full time youtuber or something.

California approved night riding flipflops
Went to check mail and kept going behind house up P-hill.

Going down doesn't get me, it's pedalling up and pedal strikes with toes exposed..lmao
Yeah that had me a bit thinking (sort of)..


It gets worse on the way down, wasn't going to ride it but made the top so fast on kenevo figured I'd just hammer down backside
