you keep going back to that road trip thing sir as if they have actually proven that it works. Like I said.....if there was proof that it works then i would go get it right now. but there isnt. just like there isnt proof that it doesnt work.
Do you know the difference between "evidence" and "proof"?

If you're looking for proof of anything you will go through life disappointed for the most part... and sick from the flu. ;)

Numerous seasonal flu studies, people from the 1950s, and those that already have had H1N1 prove it works.

New estimates suggest that the death rate compares to a moderate year of seasonal influenza, said Dr Marc Lipsitch of Harvard University.

Regular seasonal Flu:
seasonal flu has a death rate of less than 0.1 percent -- but still manages to kill 250,000 to 500,000 people globally every year.

swine flu:

He came up with a range of mortality from swine flu, from 0.007 percent to 0.045 percent.

Have you noticed the data on mortality between the two with regards to groups not normally considered "at risk"?

Do you know anything about the Spanish Flu?

You're *very* likely not going to die of the swine flu. It's even less likely you'll die from the vaccine.

It is MUCH more likely that you'll GET the swine flu and it'll ruin a good week of your holiday road trip.

people are still talking about the heinie flu? seriously? by the media's account, we're all dead from this "epidemic". Turns out you have the sniffles for a week then get over it.

I'm pretty sure I contracted it out in San Diego and brought it to the east coast. By far the weakest cold I ever had. I had a sore throat for two days, the sniffles for three, and a cough for a week and a half.

Don't waste your time or money on it. Leave it to the ZOMG WE'RE GONNA DIE people.

...30 seconds later zynasti is gonna come back with how I'm an idiot and should still get it even though I had it and that by not getting a ****ty vaccine I hate puppies and airplanes and rainbows.

Pretty sure you didn't get it. :p

This is what the CDC and WHO are (deservedly IMO) likely concerned about:
1918 flu pandemic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:1918_flu_outbreak2.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/50/1918_flu_outbreak2.jpg/300px-1918_flu_outbreak2.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/5/50/1918_flu_outbreak2.jpg/300px-1918_flu_outbreak2.jpg

"Influenza may have killed as many as 25 million in its first 25 weeks. Older estimates say it killed 40–50 million people[6] while current estimates say 50—100 million people worldwide were killed.

The unusually severe disease killed between 2 and 20% of those infected, as opposed to the more usual flu epidemic mortality rate of 0.1%.[1][13] Another unusual feature of this pandemic was that it mostly killed young adults, with 99% of pandemic influenza deaths occurring in people under 65, and more than half in young adults 20 to 40 years old."

Lol, Biggins, you sound like my 3yo niece. The only difference is instead of being unreasonably afraid of the needle itself, you're unreasonably afraid of whats inside of it. Do you want my mommy to come and hold your hand, and promise to give you a lollipop afterwards?

Do just the tinyist bit of research into vaccines, how they're developed, and the consequences of of a killer flu (like the 1918 variety) and maybe you wouldn't be such a baby about the whole thing.

WELCOME, N.C. -- A crew member for Richard Childress Racing has died of complications from the H1N1 virus.

Donald "DJ" Richardson died late Friday after a lengthy hospitalization for acute respiratory distress syndrome. Richardson contracted H1N1 during a Thanksgiving visit to his home state of Massachusetts, and team officials say he had been hospitalized at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster the entire time.

The 37-year-old Richardson spent last season as a tire changer on Kevin Harvick's crew.

He began his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career with Andy Petree Racing in 1999 and had previously worked for Penske Racing, Hendrick Motorsports and Braun Racing

The first MTBer I met down here in FL about a week ago had H1N1 and was in recovery. It was still kicking his ass and he was only able to do about 1/5 of the shop ride before turning back since he couldn't keep up.
