I have an 06 888rc2x, but I have not gotten to mess with the adjustments much. How do you set up you rc2x?

Hey Kanter, how much do you weigh??just curious,... Im still playing with my 888rc2x adjustments and I want to change oil but I have no time!!!,...so I have no definitive settings for my fork...I will post when I find the right adjustments..BTW I weigh about 185lbs and its great for my weight...Kanter said:3 clicks up from least preload
3 clicks down from MAX high speed compression
3 clicks up from least slow speed compression
Make sense?

Its always a good idea to change the oil after a few rides as it gets dirty very fast with tiny metal bits from the friction of the new parts of the fork....Kanter said:I weigh 180-185. Why are you changing the oil already? After the springs break in I will increase the preload. I only have a handful of rides on it so I am still tinkering.
The swooshing doesn't seem to be related to the compression. I think I'm right at the cutoff for switching 1 spring. I weigh about 175-180Bicyclist said:Are you running a lot of compression, sayndesyn? It sounds to me like that's the case because the oil is being forced through small holes fast, because you have too soft of a spring. Just an e-guess though.

I have the same clunk when going over small bumps. Its annoying as hell, but it doesnt seem to be affecting the performance of the fork. Yet. I also lost the tiny ball bearing that sits under the rebound cap, so now I have no clicks on my adjustement. Again annoying, but overall I'm very pleased with the fork.banrider said:Are you guys noticing a clunk noise if you put in more than 12 clicks of rebound?? mine is doing a clunk when the fork rebounds slow as if the headset would have a little play; I contacted Marzocchi UK and they told me that they were trying to find a solution to this problem, so I suppose Im not the only one with this problem, I also notice a clunk noise when I go over small bumps, I dont know if both noises are related.. , but they are driving me crazy:redhot:

Only running 2 clicks of preload and have been playing around with the other settings. Seems to be tracking really well and I assume the very initial stiction will go away once the bushings are more polished. VERY HAPPY with my Sunday, corners like a demon on crack and with the flush headset, low crowns, lo-rise funn full on bar it's so much easier to keep the front end weighted. Bloody rips.
Yes I agree with you, it doesnt affect the performance but its rather annoying!!!, I suppose I could live with that....schwaaa31 said:I have the same clunk when going over small bumps.
