with proper tires, it isnt a issue.
my truck has 400+lb-ft of tq and i have no problem getting traction with Pilot Sport PS2's. stock tires were scary though
The Holden utes are great fun - really good ESP calibration, but even with it off they still feel like they have loads of rear traction. They're basically a sports car with a big trunk - if you buy one for load carrying you'll probably be disappointed (not that you can buy one in the US) I reckon they're great but I work for Holden so I'm probably biased...

if they had a bit more space behind the seats, then if and when they come to the US, id be all over it.
the rumor about GM bringing a Ute/El Camino stateside seems to be popping up all the time, though i doubt itll ever happen.
