steve was always a fun guy to be around at races, always had a smile and brought a smile to others....i will miss him being around. rest in much piece bro

He was a sweet guy with sick bikes. Just saw him at Cal Poly's Parkfield race this past collegiate season. I rode by and said "You got some sick bikes man!" and he nodded and sincerely replied, "Thanks, I appreciate it!" It was just small talk but I always got a good vibe from him. I remember when SWD was started and I first met him at Northstar and sat on his new bike... Awesome individual, for sure. He will not be forgotten.

I have known Steve for years, never expected this.
The NorCal race scene won't be the same without him.
As it has been stated over and over, Steve was a really nice guy who dedicated his life to helping more people find the joy that comes from riding a bike.
