Well, I've got four rides in on my Push equipped 5Spot. The shock works absolutely great. It climbs great, it sucks up the quick stutter bumps and man does it suck up the big hits. Darren’s got it dialed over at Push!!!!

but wholesale on the shock itself :D . A full race kit will run you $165.75 Full race kit is basically anything in the shock that can be replaced with Push's parts is, and of course the shock is custom valved for you and your bike

I have an RC on my gemini thatd id like to push. I have a race april 3rd how long would it take for me to send it from AR to wherever push is and get the whole thing done? BTW does it make a big difference or should i just spend the extra cash on a 4 way.

thanks

is there a difference i the shock bodies of a vanilla rc and a vanilla rc with propedal?

and does push upgrade all of the internals or just tweak them?

All internals new, better ones Darren has made for him. Yes there is a big dif. Same shock body for Propedal and Non-Propedal, so yes he can upgrade an old non-propedal to Propedal

Stickers look great! They finally came in! Nice.

Even after such a short time with mine, that looks weird with the stock bumper. I need to take a pic of my bumper, it's darn impressive! A full 1.25" huge! It's being replaced with a 0.75" one hopefully this week though as it was a bit much.

I'm going to laugh my ass off when all the folks that sold their RCs to get Avys and 5ths and Romics, sell their fancy new shocks to go back to RCs (pushed, of course) when they realize they can save a 1/2 lb and get a custom valved shock for cheap all at the same time.... that is, assuming whatever Darren squeezes into that wee little shock body can actually hold up.

My disco is an 04, and we shall see how my 03 Vanilla RC w/ Ti spring and Full Race Push kit holds up.

You won't have a problem with a stock Fox on a 02 and newer Disco because of the linkage change.

Craig's outta town. I'm orderin it asap when he gets back, I really want it soon. Riding around on this blown fox isn't too bad actually, but I sat on my friend's turner with an avy and no compression - wow.

Btw, sent you a PM. Got a question.

Check out the data acquisition equipment.

He has also co-developed a “data acquisition” device that bolts onto a shock or fork and spits out damping curves, linkage rates and other suspension information into an on-board computer—while you are riding. The system includes a telescoping position sensor, mounting hardware, a small computer and a download link to feed the information to a PC. The acquisition package is targeted to racing teams primarily, but Murphy hopes to keep the cost low enough to attract pro bike shops and serious privateers.

Ok, what does he actually do to the shock?

edit: Acadian, where did your ugly, smart-mouth reply go? :D

Here what you get when you order the race system.

Includes: -Disassembly/Reassembly -Oil/Nitrogen -Complete O-Ring Kit -Vault Seal Housing
-Eyelet Bearings -Dual Stage Piston -Complete Re-valve and replacement of piston shims
-”Zero Bleed” Piston Bolt -Top Out Spring -Reservoir Valve Assembly
Available only for the Vanilla RC, Race systems take the “Works” approach and put it in the privateers hands. With
Multi stage valving, Torco Race fluids and high grade materials this kit brings World Cup performance to riders without
a “Factory” ride. As with all Push services, Race System services are valved with the rider, riding style and frame in
mind by expert technicians.

Oh now you being all gansta wit me!

As far as Push industries goes, yeah I guess it would be a good idea if you get a Fox stock bike. Instead of going through the hassle of selling your shock, then ordering or buying a heavier, exotic shock you can simply send your Fox to get reworked and save weight. Sounds pretty resonable.

side by side with a Romic? - OK - I've been on a Romic-equipped Turner RFX for about a year & half - freeriding all over the place on it - loved it, plain and simple - huge improvement over the original Fox - smoother on trail chatter, took big drops better (up to 14' or so) - pedaled uphill (yeah, I do a fair bit of that) quite well for a 6" travel bike

sent in the old Fox to Push and got it back a couple of weeks ago - a few good rides on it and it beats the Romic by quite a bit - pedaling uphill for 30 minutes on a technical climb - the Push felt like a hardtail (that stayed on the ground) on rock step-ups, loose dirt, everything - it honestly felt like I had lock-out on my 6" travel freeride bike! - on the downhill side, it took small drops, trail chatter and even drops up to 8' VERY smoothly, the back end stayed down when it should, and felt botomless on bigger drops -an improvement on all it's downhill capabilities...I love having a custom shock for $165 - unreal performance at a very small price...

it's good enough that the Romic is coming off my XCE next week, I'm switching the rocker arms & throwing a Push on it - this morning's ride I was watching the Romic cycling through it's travel each pedal stroke on a long climb - I look forward to the better leverage ratio with the original Fox-designed swingarms & the stable-platform pedaling on long 30+ mile rides on the XCE...:D

As I said earlier. The Push shock is very impressive so impressive that I'll be posting two NEW Romic Shocks up for sale. One off my 04 DHR and one from my 04 5Spot. Check the sale section later.

Cheers
