the answer is -15
everyone makes teh same mistake, you get to were you have broken int into
7-10+12= well if you go left to right its 9 but that is incorrect, the addition comes first..... next in the order would be 7-22= to be -15
complete breakdown
7-10+4x3=
7-10+(4x3=12)=
7-(10+12=22)=
7-22=-15

No, to clarify, it is actually an invalid equation.... The true answer is both... positive 9 or negative fifteen....
