Raleigh, N.C. Second District Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, a Republican, said Wednesday that she is considering running to replace Democrat Kay Hagan in the U.S. Senate.
It's expected that Hagan, whose term expires next year, will seek re-election.
When asked what her political future will hold, Ellmers offered: "As you know, there is a Senate race in North Carolina that's going to take place in 2014."
"I'm praying on it," she said. "That's ultimately where I make those kind of decisions. They come to me. I don't make them myself."
