I know on my BREW that the hanger is brazed on so if it breaks all you need to do is heat it up and take it off and then braze a new one on. Much less invasive than cutting and welding. If it bends, you can always straighten it out or get another one welded on!
Are you in Canada or US? their site says Atlantic Bicycles (www.atlanticbicycle.com) in Florida is a distrubutor. but they might sell direct?Where can you get those cromags?Do you buy them straight from chromag or from a dealer? If a dealer then who?I would love to get one.
spoke to them yesterday and this is what they saidI'll do that. Thanks bro.
Chromag Bikes said:we still ship direct to most customers in the US but we’re happy to work with any dealers who are interested."
Exactly, not much to worry about, no need for the extra bits, and less hanger flex. Plus everyone knows a steel frame will self destruct if any part of it is aluminum. If it bends, you can always straighten it out or get another one welded on!
yup...it's definitely a beauty! I never though I would get another HT, but this one sold me!Wow! Sharp bike!
Nice guys, and they build nice motorcycles too.
Yep, both are orange and made of steel tubes! Totally the same!Wow that Gary Fisher looks familiar......oh wait, just like the $200 Nashbar 853 frame!

(not sure if you were insinuating that they came out of the same factory or something...check the tube intersections and cable routing...)

yeah I love my Chromag - best HT I've owned. Very stoked about it.Bump since (much) later I'm going through this topic again.
Acadian, did you end up with your Chromag? If so, how do you like it for its intended use?
I'm sort of debating a steel bike (like the Chromag) for substantially more money, or a Stumpjumper Comp HT through my EP. I need to start training, and who knows, I may end up doing some racing.
