You have experience with, eh, friction-less parties?
I did once put my shoulder out of the socket while “mud” wrestling in an inflatable pool full of brownie batter. That was an interesting trip to the ER. Being out of my skull on Jager helped manage the pain until the pharmaceuticals arrived.

Edit - on the drive home, I puked in the plastic bag full of my clothing they had discharged me with. I’ll spare you the image of what I was wearing when I walked in and out of the ER.

It’s a product intended for veterinary obstetrics, but it has a variety of other practical applications. You don’t want to breathe the dust or get it in your peritoneal cavity. Otherwise, have at it.

You may not want to read the Amazon reviews at work.

Product for animals and hippies, makes sense.

Yea. When we adopted her as a puppy she was recovering from a stab wound to her abdomen. I don't know who could do that to an adorable little doggo, but I hope one day someone returns the favor.

To this day she still growls at darker skinned men wearing hoodies.

Currently checked in to the shittiest of shitholes in Salmon Idaho. So dumpy wifey would rather sit and read in the truck until she absolutely has to come inside. My dirty kiddo don’t care.

So I don't want to jinx it, but that went very well. The down side being the top of their budget is about 10% less than what I make. She told them what my expectations were and he still wanted to talk.

I am missing some skills, but it sounds like those are hard to come by, so they are looking for someone who can learn it. Pay me enough and I'll learn to speak Russian.

where the trails are
Thanks for the snow, Colorado! 117 miles of skiing this week. I'm sure you've all enjoyed my STRAVA, Facebook, and Instagram social media pics all week, including today's pic with snow up to my chest. No pics on RM though, but hey, at least it's still cool here.
You timed this ski trip well. :thumb:
Any chance of grabbing a beer before you go home? How long are you here?

I-70 has reopened. Rejoice!

Alarm set for 4:30 AM, as I anticipate people will be extra stupid tomorrow.

285 now closed. If they aren't home already @stoney and @SkaredShtles are fucked.
I made it home at 6 but got stuck in the Westbound with Haley for an hour at 8ish (left at 645). Plan was to take back way to Granby but pace was so slow we didn't get to Frisco until 12:30. I wasn't confident in my ability to stay awake, so we slept in the Safeway parking lot. At Starbucks now and about to jump onto 70E to head to WP.

Start a go fund me page. I am sure a few monkeys will chip in.
A few years ago, after we found our (now) small dog Chewie with a crushed pelvis, dumped deep in the woods of CO on a 25* night, the Monkey community was instrumental in helping cover the extensive medical costs of her rehabilitation. It was a lifesaver for her, literally, as we didn't have the financial means at that point to cover it. Thanks to the good folks here, she is now a thriving little shit, well fed and well loved, albeit missing one eye.

Luckily, this time around my wife and I are in a position to cover the costs out of pocket. We won't quite have dentist money into that knee of hers, but our contributions will certainly help the local veterinary orthopedic surgeon sleep easy at night.

Guess I should have read all the way to the end of the thread. Though, I've learned by now that if you mention a thing, and I don't know what it is, to google it at home, or on my phone.

The one line description of the Amazon link on google was enough to let me know I didn't want to go further.

EMERGENCY CLOSURE
I-70 closed in multiple mountain locations: Avalanche Control work will keep I-70 closures in place through late morning. Travelers heading to the mountains this morning will see multi-hour waits as crews blast avalanche paths and remove the resulting debris. It is STRONGLY advised that traffic wait in Denver or other locations until the roadway has officially reopened.

Heavy Mountain Snows expected through Saturday with persistent west/northwest winds. NWS is projecting the possibility of up to 2 feet of snow in areas such as Eisenhower Tunnel, Berthoud Pass, Vail Pass, Cameron and Rabbit Ears Passes and the Grand Mesa with diminishing totals for southern mountain ranges. Front Range and lower elevations: Additional snow possible through Friday possibly moving east to the plains. Winds may cause issues with blowing and drifting. TRUCKERS: Chains or alternate traction devices will be required for mountain travel. Mountain/Ski Traffic: Expect traction laws to be in place, your tires are your responsibility. DRIVERS MUST BE PREPARED FOR EXTENDED CLOSURES, EXTREME WEATHER AND HEAVY TRAFFIC ON I-70, US 285 AND OTHER MOUNTAIN ROUTES. THERE WILL BE EXTENDED CLOSURES ON I-70 AND US 40 FOR AVALANCHE CONTROL FRIDAY MORNING AND THE POTENTIAL FOR CLOSURES THROUGH THE WEEKEND. "
It always amazes me US mountains get road closures all the time and in Yurp it is super rare. Never got that why.

Well, in Colorado, it's because we categorically refuse to properly fund infrastructure services. But look on the bright side - at least we have super-cheap gas!

Yeah, forgot that you being free from socialist high taxes also frees you from working infrastructure or working anything.

fuck all that commie shit
You would love it in Poland. We drank that US Muricah Liberalization Juice like a Libertarian drinking 4loco (seriously, 6 month dividens from privatized companies paid for the stock itself if you had money in 90s Poland) but we had so much of that commie shit some of it stayed and I only got snowed in once in our hills.
