Wow thats rediculous. Why is it that crazy ass things happen there. Last year Gee blew the crap outta a turn at the bottem and still pulled off the win. This year Hill owns everyone.

Yeah I REALLY doubt peat would have been able to make up 8 seconds. Peaty is Insane but He's getting older and Hill is still like 20.[/QUOTE]

Where was Hill last year when Peaty was winning the World cup overall title?

coming in at close second places gaining another year of experience at the world cup level maybe?

just because peaty is hurt doesn't mean that he would be winning world cups by 8 seconds (when was the last time he DID win a race by 8 seconds).

hill is ON IT.

don't hate.

Yeah, Watch Earthed 2, he intentionally took it easy in the finals to stay in 2nd place overall.

And thats just it, Peat IS HURT. Thats his own problem, he crashed so he has to pay the price. My money is on Sam Hill at worlds.

Hill is on it this year! I don't ever remember seeing an 8 second margin in a WC race before...it's also nice to see Kovarik back in on the race scene...

Ok, I don't know why people are in a way putting peaty down he has done more for the sport than most have done he has great image as face of the sport, his attitude toward the sport to take it to the next level -running his own race team and developing, supporting helping riders step up to the next level(Mark Beaumont, Neil Donaghue, Brendan Fairclough-his gonna be really fast,Josh Brycland the list goes on he is also more than willing to help out other Brit riders if he can). Also to say when was the last time he won by 8 seconds well, I don't know about 8 seconds but I do know that consistantly he has won races by a large margin(light years a i think you put it)
05 Maxxis Cup 01, Peat wins by 4seconds.
05 UK NPS 1, Peat wins by 5 seconds.
05 WC 1, Peat wins by 2 Seconds.
04 WC 2, Peat wins by 6 seconds.

Oh an if they aren't big races to win look a the start lists! also check out UK NPS results, and Maxxis cup results.
He has also stood on the podium more times than any other rider and is pretty much more consistan than any other rider, check the results....

Look at the amount of races Peat has won all over the world, National champion how many times, National Series champion how many times, 2 x European Champion, World cup Series 2 x winner, World cup races how many, Maxxis cup races how many, Norbas a handful, RedBull races the list goes on....

And as for injuries it's part of the game, look at Peat's comebacks when his been injured just makes him more determined.

I'm not puttign down Hill's 1st wc win an by a huge margin, it's great

yup... hill did take it easy last year at world cup finals to keep his second place overall safe... what you fail to mention is that peat had locked up the title in calgary and did not even need to race the last race to take the title.

all these guys are competitors, as well as friends. they are not hating on each other, so why are you? the top 10 riders at a world cup are the best riders in the world... all of them. so why try to justify that one is better, or that if so and so raced it would be different. that is lame

i don't understand why people argue over this stuff... the winner is always the best rider ON THAT DAY, ON THAT PARTICULAR COURSE, no one else. so far there have been three world cups this year with three different winners. that is awsome, and tight competition like that only makes the racing and the riders better.

No, I actually think it is a rather small thing to harp on. Who cares what country they are from?
When I think of my favorite riders, alot of it is based on their attitude.
I like guys like Kirkaldie because he is a pinner, who is also funny as he11, and is always acting up when I am around him at a race.
Those kind of guys are who I root for, and there nationality is way down on the list.
It kinda reminds me of those rednecks in Supercross who don't like Bubba because he is black. Ignoring the fact that he is one of the most exciting riders who has ever twisted a throttle. Lame.
(DHCorky, this rant is not directed at you, as I know that is a common concern, I was just stating my opinion on it. :) )

I can see your point. I agree my favorite riders I could care less where they are from.

From a rider development standpoint North America should have rider in the top 25. I wonder if any of this is a result of how NORBA is treating racers here in the states?

I'm gonna chime in and say Peaty kicks ass because he is always the man to beat at any race.
Kovarik is the monster in the closet who randomly crushes EVERYONE at any time..easily the fastest guy overall (assuming he makes it down the mountain without a blown bike or blown corner)

Congrats to Hill and congrats to Ska Todd for betraying the stars and stripes...(just kidding Todd...)

BIG PROPS to friggin Neethling...how the heck is he getting to the races???

I think Hill has got Kovarik's measure at the moment (as well as everyone else's)... he's been laying the smackdown all over the place (Mt Buller, US Open, now Schladming). That said, it's incredible that after such a bad injury, Kovarik is already smashing up the field.

I agree..it was considered only a matter of time before Hill won a World Cup...but Kovarik being in 2nd place after only his SECOND world cup...that's a good sign that he's on his way back in a big, big way.

Yeah, I agree.
You know things are going well, when you have a ton of ripping juniors like back in the old days.

And oh yeah,
Butch  Kovarik xxxooo
Butch looks at Kovarik like Germany looks at Hasseloff. :blah:

Yep Andrew in top twenty overall - and thats without doing the 1st WC.
He joins the rest of us for another 10 weeks of road trippin in the Element.
Also he's already got tons of crazy clips captured by DP's Clay Porter..but you'll have to wait until Nov 15th for "********"

well since aussies cleaned the US up at norba (New York) with a 5 rider podium finish, i guess its not really that said.

if youve seen the tracks in australia, youd know that most norba and even some WC tracks are pretty tame.
