I know you jest, but I have definitely breathed a sigh of relief every time I HAVEN'T recognized a tail number.
Must be a relief working in a place where not everyone is expecting to survive.

My general feeling when I left my particular airline was that we had definitely entered the Enshitification stage, and was a huge part of my decision to leave. It felt like we were participating in some sort of Boeing Speed Run. Stock price first and foremost, all other concerns be damned. Without having any special insight to the rest of the industry, it is my perception that what was happening at my airline was not particularly unique. Safety matters, only in so much as it effects stock price. I'm pretty sure that if a crash or three a month didn't effect stock price, most airline CEOs would be perfectly happy to accept those losses.
Could be repeated for just about any publicly traded company.

Holy shit, what a great shot. All series of CRJ are notorious for being an airplane you have to drive into the ground to land, but there is ZERO flare before touch down. Maybe because of snow/ice someone misjudged height? Trust your instruments!
