I'm going to see what 26 x 1.95 tires my local bike shop has in stock, I'm guessing zero but I do have a lot of time on my hands today. Plus I need silicone spray, I should get a regular can at the hardware store but I'very decided I want a small one for my pack.

LBS reality:

Ready to buy 2 sets of 26" tires, one for tubes at 1.95 and one for tubeless at around 2.25, availability ZERO.
Ready to buy 1 decent 26" built disc wheelset, would consider used, availability ZERO.
Boeshield, availability ZERO.
Silicone spray, what do you need that for?
Stan's - yes, $16.00 bought it.
Patch kit for my Amsterdam cruiser - $.95 bought one.

Also heard from the Specialized and and Cannondale dealers that 29rs are harder to sell than 650s.

It's noon and my plans are a fail.

'Morning! 43:16 in my 6.55 mile race today (6:36 pace). I was hoping to be slightly faster, but I got no gripes. 8 out of 432 overall, and 1 out of 22 in my age group. I am always happy to grab an age group win.

Finish line pain! 45 degrees and rain. Fine to race in, but sucks as soon as you stop.

It works wonders on the dreaded aggravated goose sound dirty suspension makes when you just don't have time to deal with it properly.
Northwest trick for used bikes that buyers need to be aware of:

Spray industrial degreaser all over bike except saddle and grips which have been removed.
Power wash entire bike at carwash, let dry indoors for a few days.
Boeshield everything that moves except brakes but including seat post, let dry for a few days.
Post on Craigslist as demo bike with less than 10 hours on it...

So much faster than new bearings and bushings.

Nice, a wife waiting with a space blanket is helpful while you wait for results and door prizes. :)
