That helmet cam run is really impressive. The track looks awesome. Let me know if you want to do any more filming out there.

Well I'm stil in the hospital in Daytona. I nearly cut my liver in half. Landed on someones pedal after the 3rd double coming out of the woods. somebody had gone down, not their fault that's racing really sucks. Track was great though.

Hawkaween race is ON officially, weekend of the 31st. That same weekend the hawk will play host to the 3rd annual hawksnest crossfest cyclocross race. This means a couple hundred bikers of another flavor, more spectators, more cowbell, more of everything!
Hawkoween is gonna be fun. I hear you get handicap points for costumes.....Cant wait. Maybe it will be a dry this time. Either way it will be for sure a fun weekend......

There is a Carter's Lake DH race already on the schedule for that Sunday. One of the reasons why we moved the Windrock Fall Festival.
Considering we have a collegiate race to put on and less than 2 months to get sponsors together, get timing cleared up, promote, etc...we kind of need something to keep our numbers down. I don't think we can get organized enough to handle 137 racers again. Carters Lake is a long way from here, so I can't honestly justify going down there to race during the school year anyway. I think the show will go on...at this point whatever the mountain gives us permission to do has got to happen to help our case with a bike park.
That said...apologies for the conflict with carters. This is the weekend we got permission to use (bc of the cyclocross event), so this is the one we have to go with.
