HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!Just got a nice big ol' 1.4x3.5x12" block of Fortal (aka French 7075 equivalent) aluminum. Hopefully I'll have some pictures tonight.
A chunk of 7 series aluminum usually ends up as something cool!

Yeah, once a BMW nut, always a BMW nut. I've had 2, the 99 M3 I had for 5 years and I had a rust free 74 2002 for about a year. The deuce deuce had a blown motor, and my plan was to throw an M20 into it, bolt on some turbo flares and get some 15" panasports and have it be a bitchin daily driver, but I ended up selling it because I lost my storage spot (friend moved).nice bmw, frank at delta works in SD does wonders with beemers (motors) as does Troy and Ben at Group 5 in SD.
And of course mesa autosports and jim confortti.
I am still a big BMW fan, had 6!
and 24 inch wheels we built this for tour de fat a couple of years back its sweet for bombing mnt passes , more of a joke than anythinga zig zag w/ double wides and drop bars
Sick 'runner! That looks REALLY familar. I'm pretty sure I've seen it posted elsewhere before.HELL YEAH, I was planning on doing a SAS on the 4-runner before I went back to Socal but thats out for now!
Nice set up though looks damn good and definently a BEAST!
Broke my wrist saturday at practice. Took a digger into a boulder chest first, came out with a radial distal fracture..... should only be casted for about two weeksDamn dude, what happened? That sucks.

Have you noticed any injuries to the ribcage after a few days?
That sounds sick!!!!!!! I am just sporting a BJ spacers now fj80 coils, 2" bl detroit truetrace front/rear richmond 5;29 gears and MT 33s MTZ mud terrains. With a little brake pedal on tire lift it will crawl like a SOB! SAS would be nice but Ill build another 7U or overcapable pre runner again. Nothing like ripping the desert at 100mph +!!!!Sick 'runner! That looks REALLY familar. I'm pretty sure I've seen it posted elsewhere before.
I just sold all the parts that I had collected to do an SAS on my '01 Dakota. I had a set of 3/4 tons out of a '79 f250 that I started prepping. I decided instead that I'll keep saving and just go straight to Spider9's, coilover front, 4-link front, leafs rear, full internal cage. I want it to be a capable crawler as well as a gnarly go fast truck.
It's sitting with the stock 4.7L with 50,000 miles and should only have 60-70,000 miles when I tear it down to build the truck. Should be fun as I've never had a truck with anything bigger than the stock 4.0L in my jeeps.

Ieve never really had anything that wasn't a solid axle rig. 4 xj's and a zj. I was tempted to try to make the IFS work but that's money that could be going to what I really want as I know I would never be satisfied. Although the new Campbells KOH rig is IFS and SICK!!!!That sounds sick!!!!!!!
