kid's bike swap complete. he's now rolling on a custom #mulletracer. tracer 2 slightly overforked with 170 / 27.5 up front from his old hardtail.

Good choice, these are solid. Just FYI: Intense still sells the 27.5 conversion dropouts, sadly they are forged in China and not CNC'd in USA anymore. However, they make surprising little difference when I installed them to lower/slacken my full 26" build. :disgust1:

Anybody know how to figure out the offset of a fork without pulling it off a bike? Or what "standard" offset would have been for a fork in around 2004? I'm looking at a kid's full suspension setup for Haley and doing a part swap would be a lot more cost-effective than buying a new bike. I need to make sure that her existing fork would have the right measurements to carry over.
The 831? IIRC those had the same lowers as the 36, which were 37mm offset.
