New Smith roadie helmet I'd ordered turned up, size L. Same size as 3 prior Smith helmets I've owned.

It doesn't fit, too tight :/

You're supposed to loosen the knob on the back.
:p

Too tight across my forehead, the rear can tighten a couple of clicks from full open.

Trace MIPS to replace my 8 year old Overtake.
I happily fit in my Forefront 2 MIPS MTB helmet that replaced an original Forefront a couple of years ago.

was the Overtake MIPS? in the Smith ski helmet world I found their MIPS ones to be tighter for the same nominal shell size, to the point that I don't fit in their largest size.

Overtake was not. But I went from a non-mips forefront to mips forefront2 with no issues.
