Cloudy drizzly day today. I did actually manage somewhat of a ride on Sunday. Trails were wet, but gravel and was had. Oh well, one of these days it might dry out long enough to ride dirt. In the meantime progress on the van continues.

Howdy!

As I was out enjoying the beautiful weather whilst walking during my lunch break yesterday, the realization came to me that if a car were to swerve off the road and turn me 2D, at least I would go out knowing my life wasn't a total waste. I have done some cool shit in my 33.5 years.

For some reason the wife wasn't nearly as comforted as I was by this epiphany. Perhaps I should up my life insurance policy, cause you never know.

I'm here. Was unable to get up at my early alarm to do a workout, so I just laid in bed until my late alarm :( Oh well. Too much going on taking too much out of me to do anything for me.

I did manage to stay up long enough to cut my seatpost and finish installing my chain last night, so the new roaddawg is 95% of the way there. Just need to wrap the bars and bleed the brakes, probably.

LIfe insurance is such the guilt scam. Their Actuarials have run the numbers and are betting that you will live and they will keep all the money. You on the other had have fallen for their guilt trip and are betting that you will die before they get to keep all your money. I was an Agent for NW Mutual for a while. That industry is slimier than selling used cars.

I gotta poop, but first I must check into the ridemonkey MTB community. So hai!! 2200 yard swim done this morning. It wasn't a total shitfuck, but still pretty sluggish. I need to swim more.

So last week I forwarded a job posting to the recruiter I spoke to in late December and he said he'd contact the company and try to get me in for an interview. He told me to hold off and sending them my resume and he'd do it. I have not heard back. This morning an HR rep from the company e-mailed me directly about the position. Obviously that useless recruiter did not forward my resume like he said he would. I am done with that guy. Bummer too, because a recruiter could probably negotiate me a better salary than I could get myself. Anyway, I need to e-mail the HR guy back. After I poop tho.

Why, in God's name, would you EVER need this in flat, sandy Florida? My calves are exploding just thinking about pedaling this. Maybe that's why this 17 year old bike looks new lol

Hello all.

I must work 4 days straight before a free day (RotJ with Colorado Symphony on that docket) and then heading off to Maui.

Somehow I will survive this period of hardship.

Wait, what's going on? I don't think I'm part of that story. Unless all this road riding has made me forget that I used to ride mountain bikes. But I don't think that's it.
My mistake, apparently. But I know Bightr passed by and left some :monkey: on the side of the trail somewhere out east who had had a pretty bad crash and just about bled out. Like, seriously lucky to be alive bleeding out.
