in the other pisgah, it's always good. brevard actually has a rather tropical microclimate . grandfather district, not so much. even so, with the elevation, the temps and humidity in pisgah proper are much more tolerable than down here in the flatlands in the summer.

Thanks to Global Climate Change we haven't had a normal August in several years. There used to be about two weeks every August with temps in the triple digits. Haven't seen that in a long time.
I used to love riding when it was over 100°, trails being crowded wasn't an issue.

I can't count the number of times I pushed the limits of heat stroke climbing some long steep climb in hot stale humid air. When it is 95+ and you get goosebumps, ya cooked son.
