Nowhere Man!
Me: What?
Them: There is a Hurricane coming. Can you leave?
Me: OK.
Them: Cool I won't die trying to save your sorry ass. Thanks.
Me: Gets in car and drives the wrong way down the expressway with a State Police escort at 90. (fucking when can you do that?)

Good Afternoon!

Man, what a long day. I have put more graphics on crap today than I have the energy to count....

We were supposed to go out last night to dinner with the family for my wife's birthday. She texted after I had broken the NC land-speed record to make it to the restaurant on time from the other side of the earth - and as I was sitting there, waiting for everyone to show up:

***exact spelling***
"Honey....don't go to the restaatllnnglngnt.....I canceleeed. Trashed."

Apparently, her pals came over since she had the day off and they got into the wine really, really good. She was 10 sheets to the wind and wouldn't have made it to the restaurant if she had tried. I picked my son up from the in-laws and was secretly happy I didn't have to pony up for everyone. Alcohol saves the day!!!

Managed to get MySQL and PHP running locally on my Mac, then installed Drupal and the open source CRM we consult on as well. This will eventually enable me to do "development" type of work locally i.e. without being connected the internet... handy for the times when I'm working on client stuff from a camp chair located somewhere in the mountains or desert. Maybe old hat to some of you clowns, but this is fresh new strange nerd territory for this guy.

It's Obama's fault.

Going slowly. I try to clean and service old parts before moving them over - hub, BB bearings so that takes time. I have yet to re-dish the rear wheel but I want to see the brake rotor fit first. No issues so far besides my dislike for the integrated headset, and I am not 100% sure about the chain line with non-boost chainring, yet.
i used a non boost chainring/cranks. bike shifts just fine. is there a reason bb shell spacers can’t do the same work (assuming crank/chainstay clearance isn’t an issue)?

one more day of warm/humid, then we’re finally down to seasonal temps for the foreseeable future (70s/50s), aka, “the glorious time of year,” aka “leaf surfing season”

Don't suppose you have a Snow Leopard OS DVD sitting around? Need to clean up wife's old MacBook 6.1 before I sell it.

(I know nothing about Mac's, I just know that's what OS it currently has)
I do not.

IMO it's worth it to drop that bad larry off to Denver Mac Repair and pay them to wipe the drive and install the newest OS that will run reasonably well on that machine. I think this will cost you all of $40... maybe more but less than a Benji for sure.
