Here's mine, just cleaned and rebuilt for the local winter series* starting in a week and a bit.

- 06 DHR, gold dust orange front triangle and polished rear
- Boxxer Race forksss, DHX5
- Drivetrain is ghetto 7 speed with Saint derailleur, Gravity Lite cranks, Box Guide with MRP Roller and some dremel work to fit a bashy
- XT four pots
- Wheels = AC front, Imperial rear hubs, F219/Singletrack FR/RR rims
- Shiny new 2.5/2.35 high rollers, 40a fr, 60a rr

I've drilled it about 9mm back for a 13.75" bb height, slacker head angle (64ish?), 46.25" wheelbase. I've also put a 5mm spacer on the shock shaft to drop travel down to an even 8". Rides sweet!

*nb. winter here in Aus = 80 deg F, dry and dusty for the first race or two...

That's a pretty sweet effort on renewing the ol' DHR, nice work.

Very nice! Mine is a year or two older, but drilled out the pivot-mount to drop/slacken it as well. Rides soooooo well. Pretty standard build w/ Boxxer Team and DHX 5.0. Currently running Sram drivetrain, but plan on going to Shimano before very long. Running Code brakes but have some XT 4-pistons waiting in the wings if the need arises.

Racing starts in a week and 12hrs!!!:monkeydance:

While I don't race this is what I'll riding for the foreseeable future.

2007 Devinci Wilson
First real DH bike and it is super fun. Don't really see these in the states and the gold definitely attracts attention.
  • 2007 Marzocchi 888 SL with PAR removed
  • Marzocchi ROCO (to be replaced with a CCDB soon)
  • Custom offset reducers to lower BB and slacken HA
  • Louise FR brakes 210/203 (used a Shimano adapter in the rear to use the more standard 203 rotor)
  • Mavic 823s on Syncros FR hubs (hubs are boat anchors but they were cheap)
  • Gamut guide
  • FSA Gravity Light cranks ISIS (Saints one day)
  • Chromag stem (heavy but super nice)
  • SRAM X.7/X.9 transmission
  • Ultegra 12-28 cassette
  • Michelin/Hutchinson tires (always tubeless)
  • Sunline wide bars (might try the FSA's soon since they are wider and I'm super tall)
  • Thomson 410mm post (really need to cut this thing down)
  • Specialized
  • Kona Wah Wah pedals

41 pounds. I can save .75 lbs but switching to Hope hubs which I'll do one day.

How do you like the bike, the way it rides etc. Can you post some pictures of those custom reducers? Also, what exactly can you adjust with your fork?

I don't have much to compare it to other than my old Yeti AS-X and current Specialized Enduro. So far its felt great at Mammoth and the local shuttle runs. On G outs you can definitely feel the chain growth as it gets super rough.

The offset reducers dropped the BB 0.3" and slackened the bike about a degree. So the HA is about 63. Everyone who sits on the bike comments on how slack it is. Feels awesome down anything loose and steep.

When I get a chance I'll take the shock off and take a picture of the them.

Fork now has single air chamber like the Boxxer. With PAR in I could never get full travel. Now the fork feels awesome.

Have someone machine you some new links to drop your BB and slack out the HA, Ive done quite a few for older 4-bar bikes and it makes a ton of difference.

Still it's a bit silly to block stickers that are for people who want to customize their bikes. It's only one step from blocking the production of non factory bike spare parts (ie. shock and susp parts, enduro seals) but yea the % idea is silly.
